We're seeking an experienced Companion/Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join our well-established, independently owned mixed animal practice with great collegial support but enough autonomy to develop the role and optimise your work-life balance. Our clinic is based in Masterton, and we're looking for someone to fill a permanent full-time or part-time position.

Our dedicated team of 5 admin staff, 6 vets, 7 nurses, 2 technicians, and 2 clinic dogs, work together to share our strengths, celebrate achievements, and tackle challenges. As leaders in the veterinary field and active members of our local community, we pride ourselves on our local knowledge and experience, caring for companion animals and service farms with a focus on sheep, beef, dairy, and deer.

👩🏻⚕️👨🏻⚕️: Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a highly motivated individual who has:
- Experienced with at least 1-2 years in a companion animal or mixed animal role
- A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and client service
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest veterinary advancements
- A positive and friendly attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- A willingness to participate in after-hours duties and emergency call-outs

💰🎂: Salary and Benefits
The salary package is negotiable and based on experience.

⏰: After-Hours Roster
Our after-hours roster is shared equally, and the majority of the calls are companion animal. We do not provide equine services and get less than a dozen production animal after-hours call-outs per year. Our farm clients are almost exclusively sheep and beef, and we have a growing number of lifestylers. If you do not have mixed animal experience, we can arrange for PA cover from another experienced vet when you are on call.
