Great excitement for the Friday Goodsorts crew with Riley down another possum hole. He was only visible by the last 10cm of his tail. All the dogs clambered over pine tree trimmings and big logs to get as close to the action as possible. Eventually Riley was pulled from the hole and we could continue on. Such drama! They love it!

Buddy loves a morning adventure to the pond. Olly enjoyed racing to fetch the pine cone with Buddy. We spent a good 20 minutes at the pond until Moose decided it was time to hit the trees and search for possums. Fleur was wearing her new jacket on the reverse side and looked gorgeous in the full pink. Finn was a bit jaded after all the pond activity, so stuck to his preferred sniff and p*e for the rest of the adventure.

Bella is loving having a couple of Staffi friends. She is right into their sprint time trials. Rosie would run all day, given the opportunity. Roy likes to be in the lead, so he has to put the foot down when Rosie is sprinting up the rear. Flynn is very happy to be in a crew that feels the need for sp*ed. Even Chilli, who needs to be careful with ACL injuries, rips into it. He picked up a stick today, just to be a bit edgy 😂.

Willow and her crew, raced along the dog sled tracks today. Scooter whips out in front, constantly checking to make sure we are coming along too. If he could crack a whip to hurry us up, I think he would 😂. We had the usual 3-way tussle over a stick, until Dobby spotted a big one that he could keep to himself. Willow and Buster like to stand back and watch the mayhem. Willow often gives me the side eye 😒, as if to say “If I was in charge, they’d get a good telling off”.

It was dark in the forest this morning,for the Spice Girls adventure. Stella was full of fun. She even got wee Mabel involved in her games. But the funniest part of the morning is sorting out who rides up front. I load up the van and find 5 hopefuls, squeezed into the front seat. They generously leave me a slither of space. A couple of treats usually persuades them to get in the back. Once there, I quickly click them in. They always find a way to poke their head over or between the seats 😂. My driving must be riveting 🧐.

Buddy was hunting for pine cones while Moose was after possums. Buddy found a lovely cluster of cones. They were too fresh, so try as he might, they weren’t budging from their stick. He handled the disappointment well 🥲. Fleur was looking very beautiful in her new jacket. She even refrained from rolling in it, so she went home nice and clean. Syd’s driveway is long and builders going up and down it, have potholed it well and truly. It caused Fleur to get carsick and she lost her breakfast whilst riding shotgun 🤮. Narrowly missed my rain jacket but got the leads and personal locator beacon. We had to do a quick diversion home to clean up. 🧹. Moose disappeared for a while, which means there is a dead possum discarded on the track for us to find tomorrow. The lads, Arlo, Buddy and Syd played chase while we waited for Moose. Finn and Fleur were both content with an extra treat break.

It was a jackets on day for Gussies gang today. It started to rain as we got out of the van 😩. Hugo, who is usually well prepared for bad weather, forgot his jacket. He was a bit drenched looking when I dropped him home 😨. Lillie was sporting a beautiful pink coat, which made it easy to see her, although she was often just a flash of colour as she sprinted along. Despite the rain, they had great fun together.

Jack’s neighbour, Milli, a lovely Golden Retriever, would come to the gate and say hello, when we picked up Jack. She was always disappointed when the van load of excited dogs left without her. Today she got her wish (or way) and came out for her first adventure as the new recruit in Chilli’s crew. She was a bit nervous when she got in the van, but settled down when she saw Jack. Milli loved her adventure with her new friends. Oscar celebrated his 3rd birthday last week, he enjoyed being spoilt with extra treats. He also filled the back seat driver role with aplomb. No barking or sudden licks to the driver. He kept his eyes on the road, ready to notify the other dogs if he spotted a cat 🐈‍⬛. Moose had success with his hunting. I found a second one this afternoon that had his hallmark all over it. He must’ve snuck one in without us noticing. Legend.
