*Just a heads up* Coming from my own background in childcare and learning about dog behavior and psychology has made me wince at some photos of pet sitters unknowingly using their body language to show affection.

It's crucial to recognize that this approach might not work well for many nervous, reactive, or anxious dogs; what does seem innocent could very well be a form of submission. Here's a picture of me with Maxi, who knew me well at the time, but in hindsight, I can see that I am portraying a dominant stance. I would now hold back and allow her to approach me first. While these photo moments are cute, children may imitate this behavior, which could put them at risk if a dog reacts instinctively to protect itself.

Here is an outline of what a house and pet sitter should be. From experience and observation I see that people prefer those who are home for most of the time, have good house management and communication skills as well as experience taking care of pets in the home. I’ve spent three years cycling across the UK with a bike and trailer, so I know the ropes.
My husband is a skilled bike mechanic, ensuring every ride is safe and smooth.
