A little update from the North Canterbury Miniature Schnauzer Group 💔

The group has temporarily stopped while the lovely lady who organised our walks takes some time after the heartbreaking loss of her beloved Schnauzer.

Losing one of our precious Schnauzers is just devastating. They become such a huge part of our lives, and saying goodbye is never easy.
Our thoughts are with her during this incredibly sad time. ❤️

If anyone in North Canterbury would like to step up and become an admin, organise some walks and keep this lovely group going, please let us know.
We’d love to see our Schnauzer community continue to get together and enjoy some fun walks with their beautiful pups. 🐾

As you all know, I went to my new forever home over the weekend, and WOW… I’ve had so much fun already!

We’ve even been shopping!
That was pretty exciting, although I think I’m going to need to teach these humans a thing or two about shopping for me! 😂

I absolutely LOVE my new home. Just look at me on the couch… WOW, what a couch!
Heaps of room for me to stretch right out and get comfy. And the views from the window are amazing!
I love sitting on the back of the couch watching the world go by and all the birds flying around going, “tweet, tweet, tweet.” Sometimes I answer them with a little “woof, woof,” but they never seem to understand what I’m saying!

The food here is pretty good too, and my humans are VERY devoted to me.
They’re always saying, “Kiki, come here for a cuddle,” “Kiki, come hop on the bed,” “Kiki, it’s dinner time!” Honestly… I think I could get used to this!

My son Knox is here too, and he’s not too bad.
We hang out, have a little chat, go out for sniffs and explore everything together.

Soon I’ll be getting my harness on and heading out for walks with all the other doggies.
I’m even going to catch up with the Three Amigos — you know, my 3 boys!

But for now, just give me a few weeks to settle in properly and get used to my new humans. We’ve got some important bonding time to do first!

And just WAIT until summer… I’m going to be out and about exploring everything down here. So many beaches to discover and so many adventures to have!

If you want to follow along with everything I get up to, I’ve asked my humans to post all my updates on the Miniature Schnauzers Community NZ page.

See you there!

Love, Kiki ❤️

Dear Customer,

Congratulations on acquiring your schnauzer.

Please find the instructions for your particular model listed below:

Although your schnauzer comes fully assembled, due to particular issues during production, we do occasionally have issues with components such as screws. They invariably are either loose or missing altogether.

Mode 1: This is the sleep mode, activated for the majority of the day as the schnauzer ages. This is normal and you should not worry about it, just accept the peace and quiet while you can.

Mode 2: Anarchy. Although we have tried to ease the effect of anarchy mode, it’s not always possible. There are inherent issues with the timer settings of anarchy mode in regards to there being none. Should your schnauzer suddenly go from comatose to running around the walls, we cannot stop this feature.

Sunlight: Do not allow your schnauzer to stay in the sun too long. They can burn if left unattended but they also recharge. Too much of a charge and mode 2 can be activated without warning.

Energy consumption: This has been an ongoing issue as their energy consumption is too direct. We have tried to put baffles, non return valves and diversions in place but none seem to work adequately. Safe to say what goes in comes out, in both solids and gas. The gas, although noxious, can only inhibit breathing of the owner for up to ten minutes.

Naming: Your schnauzer comes untitled as we feel owners should use names of their own. If you are unsure, we have listed below a few names our owners like to use:

Bu**er lugs
You’re kidding me
Is that yours?
Don’t you dare
Ok, you
As***le
Put that down
Why?
Get that out of your mouth
Barkyarse
🤣🤪🤣🤪🤣

Software: Your schnauzer is pre-installed with the highest software and hardware. This includes the loyalty chip, the love every one chip, fun chip and, of course, the highly popular mayhem chip. They are all running on the Whatthehell operating system 12.2.
Although this has been in circulation for many years, we have found it simply cannot be improved upon.

Should you have any queries you can reach us on 118-what-did-I-do

Thank you.
We hope you have many years of enjoyment with your schnauzer. Please be aware that by the time you have read this, your warranty will have run out.
Unfortunately, we do not renew warranties and we do not offer refunds or returns..ever.
It’s your problem now.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who sent Ooshies for my grandson Braxton. ❤️

You all helped him complete his collection, and he has written this little note especially for you all.

Some sent lots, some sent just one or two, but every single one counted.
Working together, we did it!

Thank you so much for the amazing response and all your kindness.
We really appreciate it.
Hope you enjoy Braxton’s little thank-you note! 🥰

Pollen season is here, and it’s already causing a few problems for our dogs.

With spring approaching, there’s a lot more pollen around, and our dogs pick up plenty of it as they run through the grass, play outside and explore. Schnauzers can be prone to skin irritation, and pollen can contribute to itchy skin, paw licking, redness and general skin flare-ups.

You might be surprised at just how much pollen is sitting in your Schnauzer’s coat. 🤯
Give them a really good brush outside and see how much comes off!

A few simple things can help during pollen season:

• Clean all food and water bowls every day and provide fresh water daily. Pollen, dust and other allergens can easily end up in their bowls.

• Brush your Schnauzer regularly, preferably outside, to remove pollen, grass and other allergens from their coat.

• Wipe their face, beard and paws after being outside. Pollen, grass and dirt can easily get caught in their beard and around their feet.

• Keep their beard clean and dry. A damp or dirty beard can become a breeding ground for bacteria and yeast, which can lead to irritation and unpleasant smells.

• Wash their bedding regularly to remove pollen and allergens that have been carried inside.

• Wipe or rinse their paws after walks, especially if they’ve been running through grass.

Keep an eye out for increased scratching, paw licking, face rubbing, redness, irritated skin or changes around the paws and beard.

Pollen can be a real nuisance for Schnauzers, but a little extra brushing, cleaning and grooming during this time of year can help keep their skin and coats healthy and comfortable.

To all our little Schnauzer puppies who are heading off to their new homes at the moment, we’d love for you to join our
Miniature Schnauzer Community NZ page

https://facebook.com/groups/493978296188887/

It’s a lovely, private little community where you can share updates, photos and all those funny little moments with your Schnauzer.
We absolutely love seeing how our puppies grow, what adventures they get up to, their holidays, their fancy new grooms, and of course all the gorgeous photos!

Our retired dogs are part of the community too, so it’s a really special way for us to keep following their lives after they leave us.
Kiki will be on there as well, so we’ll get to see all her little updates too.

And you don’t have to own one of our Schnauzers to join! If you’ve got a Schnauzer, we’d love to have you.
Come along and share your wisdom, your tips, your favourite products, your best buys and anything else Schnauzer-related.

It really is a page we love to follow — a little community of Schnauzer lovers sharing the good stuff, helping each other out and, of course, showing off their gorgeous munchkins!
