With the NZB Standardbred Yearling Sales just around the corner, John has been busy pouring through the pages and pedigrees in search of the next star, or hopefully even stars, to join the team. But, it’s not just horses we’re after. We’d love for some new faces, of the human variety, to join the stable as well and we’re actively looking for expressions of interest from potential owners who might be interested in joining the fun.

Now into the seventh full season of training and fourth out of the Ashburton Racecourse barn, John Morrison Racing has built an impressive reputation of success culminating in our best season ever last year with 31 winners and 40 placings from 164 starters. Included among those winners were both Giorgio Denario and Start Me Up who both won on debut as two-year-olds and Amass who claimed victory on the inaugural Harness 5000 day at Ashburton in December.

Our stable is Next Gen eligible, opening up a huge amount of opportunities for owners moving forward and with a strong focus on delivering results for owners and helping horses live up to their full potential on the track, John Morrison Racing is a great choice if you’re thinking of getting into ownership, or expanding further.

AMASS was successful in the Listed Paul Summerfield Plumbing (2006) Ltd Mobile Pace at Ashburton.

The local runner was too good and gave a driving double to John Morrison after he took out the first race and his first Listed race winner as a trainer!

Charlottes Army have been fortunate enough to be donated two nights accommodation in Kaiapoi, at the newly restored BNZ bank building, it boasts two gorgeous apartments that are a perfect getaway weekend. Kaiapoi has everything for that weekend getaway , with a wonderful range of food options! Kaiapoi river cruise, horse treks, kayak hire, trails and walks, just to name a few things.
