As a treat, you can give your pet rabbit fruits like bananas, apples, cherries, apricots, plums, pineapples, mangoes, berries etc.

Fresh, raw bananas can be consumed safely, but only in moderation. While bananas are rich in water, potassium, vitamin B6 and antioxidants, they’re also packed with starch and sugar.

As a general rule, you should feed a rabbit a piece of banana that’s smaller than the size of your thumb to avoid excess intake of starch and sugar.

Excess starch and sugar are converted to fat in a rabbit’s body. This can lead to unnecessary weight gain and obesity.

One of the most common doubts when it comes to rabbit care is about whether rabbits drink water, and above all, how much water rabbits need to be happy and healthy.

Generally, a month and a half year old rabbit, weighing approximately 750 grams should consume about 120 ml of water daily. A rabbit of between 1-2 years weighing roughly 2,5 kilograms, should consume about 400 ml daily.

In addition to weight and age, one also needs to take into consideration whether a rabbit is pregnant, breastfeeding or has just given birth. In these such cases, rabbit water consumption should be roughly 3 litres per day during lactation period.

Rabbit p*e can be many different colours and still be healthy p*e. Usually, rabbits will p*e anywhere from 2-8 times a day and it will be a golden yellow or amber orange colour.

The colour will get a little darker and more concentrated if your rabbit is dehydrated. And it will frequently change colour based on a rabbit’s diet. For example, if your rabbit has a lot of carrots one day, their p*e could come out being a brighter orange than usual.

Normal rabbit p*e will usually be a little bit murky, not completely clear. Rabbit’s pass excess calcium along with their urine. But if the p*e looks excessively cloudy or murky, that is a sign of a more serious bladder condition.
