Welcome to my brand-new Facebook account, a tribute to the Field Spaniel
I am Ellen Canta and founded in 1982, under the affix “of the Fields Society”, my Field Spaniel kennel. Although I do have a kennel, of course all our dogs are living in the house as a member of the family. From that moment I deeply felt in love with this marvellous breed. And I still am after all those years. It was with the

help of Peggy Grayson that I found my first bitch, Lydemoor Lavinia Christine, bred by Don & Margareth Nicholls. Right from the start “health” was a very important issue to me and of course all our stock has been hip-scored and eye-tested. Breeding dogs need the support of the whole family. So, with the help of my husband Charles, we developed a roadmap for our breeding plan and we still stick to that. Many happy and healthy Fields were born in our house. All of them found good homes as a family dog or were used for breeding, working or showing. Please join me to go through memory lane and enjoy everything you see here. Pfff! What a boring day, showtime at the Winner Show. I did by best, the judge liked me. The family is very proud because I am a Junior Winner and Winner now. But I do prefer the countrysite.

Yesterday the H-litter, Herge, Haddock, Hagar and Heather ( Briac x Even Blotches of the Fields Society) celebrated their ninth birthday. I suppose that mother Spikkel and sister Halloween who are unfortunately no longer with us, looked at them from their cloud. Congratulations for all of you and please, stay healthy!
