Almost two years ago, our story started with an AI-generated logo. Three women who didn’t know each other at all came together for a shared purpose, inspired by Başak: helping animals in need. One of us built our website in one day as a surprise, using third-party tools. We created our Instagram page and started from nothing.
Over time, we brought in more supporters. Ekin became our designer and content creator. Her vision shaped all our templates—vibrant and positive, even though the cause itself wasn’t always easy to look at. We wanted to tell a different story: not only the happy endings of animals who once suffered on the streets, but also the stories of those who would never have to suffer—unborn puppies.
In September 2024, we officially established our foundation as Stichting WOF Rescue (Wretched of the Field) and launched our first sterilisation project. However, reality hit hard. We faced challenges in financing these projects while also rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals.
In these 1.5 years, we have rehomed over 50 animals, met incredible volunteers, and received support from so many people. It hasn’t been easy. We made mistakes, learned from them, and kept trying to do better. There is still a lot we are figuring out.
Now, after all this time, we are retiring our previous logo and starting a new chapter. Our new logo was kindly designed by Umut Sayar, a friend we met along the way. With this change, we are also realigning with our vision and focusing once again on sustainability.
In recent months, our rescue efforts have outpaced our rehoming capacity. We are lacking resources—not only in foster homes and flight volunteers, but also in administrative and operational areas. That’s why we need your support more than ever.
If you’d like to help, feel free to fill in the volunteer form in our bio.
Join us in this new chapter and help us grow further!
