First time for everything - or Everything for the first time!?
Sill went on her very first trip away from home — not to perform, but to experience.

I took her to my bestie in Steenwijk, who works from a beautiful facility and specializes in starting young horses. The goal of this trip was simple: help Sill gain confidence in a new environment and add valuable life experience to her foundation.

I chose to stay for three days so she had time to process and adapt. Watching how she handled it all was incredibly valuable for me. Sill doesn’t show stress in big, obvious ways — her signals are subtle — which means I need to listen closely and be careful not to push her too far

In just a few days, she:
• travelled 2.5 hours in the trailer (there and back)
• stayed overnight in a stable
• met lots of new, young (and equally inexperienced 😉) horses
• discovered an indoor arena for the very first time
• and even went into the forest for the first time 🌲

Through it all, she showed up as a partner. And that makes me incredibly proud of her 💛

This trip wasn’t about training results.
It was about learning, trust, and getting to know each other better.

Fun fact: I also got to weigh her — she’s 470 kg right now.

Meet Sill — or Silly for friends 💕✨”

She’s just 3 years old, also a KWPN mare and has been with me for almost a year now. From the first picture I ever saw of her, I was in love — and I still feel so grateful that she’s mine.

Sill is clever, willing, and always curious. Every day with her is about finding the right balance between letting her grow into her body and giving her the experiences that set her up for the future. I take things step by step, but she already shows so much potential.

Right now, our main focus is on helping her feel freely forward. It’s such a joy to see her learn and try, and I’m so proud of the things she can already do at this young age.

With this lady, the future feels so promising — the sky is the limit 🌌🐎.

Meet Vitesse — or Tess, the queen of our herd 👑✨”

At 23 years old, she’s still proving that age is just a number. Last year Tess was diagnosed with PPID, but with the right care, supplements and medication she is thriving. Somehow, she’s still improving — right now we’re playing with piaffe and canter pirouette! 💃🐎

Tess is steady, experienced, and endlessly wise. She’s the leader of our herd, my most trusted partner, and a horse who has taught me more than I could ever teach her.

Fun fact: Tess is actually owned by , but I’ve been riding her for at least ten years — and since 2018 she’s lived with me full-time. She even carries our children so faithfully, though she’s not really suited for beginners. That’s just who she is: powerful, smart, and with a mind of her own.

I’m endlessly grateful for this horse and the journey we’ve shared. 💙

Op onze paddock paradise komt een plekje beschikbaar in een kleine kudde van 5 paarden.
Wij zijn 3 leuke dames die samen dit pp hebben opgebouwd en onderhouden.
De paarden hebben een brede track rond een perceel van halve hectare. De track is voorzien van een grastegel pad waardoor je altijd rond kunt met je kruiwagen. Daarnaast is een ruime round pen met wit zand waar de paarden kunnen liggen, die tevens is voorzien van verlichting. Er zijn 2 grote schuiltenten. Een bestraat gedeelte met daarop een hooiruif met voer systeem waardoor de paarden 6x per etmaal hooi krijgen. Water uit twee automatische drinkbakken en een tuinhuis voor de zadelkast.
Tegen betaling kan gebruik gemaakt worden van de buitenbak bij de buren.
De paarden moeten dagelijks verzorgd worden en hiervoor hebben we vaste dagen. Onder verzorging verstaan we hooiruif vullen, mest ruimen en emmertjes met supplementen geven.
Daarnaast is er een paar keer per jaar een klusdag waarbij je inzet gevraagd wordt.

- alleen onbeslagen paarden
