I want to thank each and everybody who took the time to leave a comment under my previous post, I was overwhelmed with the amount of reactions. It may sound corny, but it truly made me feel better. I did read each comment, but it is too much for me to reply to every single one. So don't feel bad when I did not leave a like or reply on your comment, be assured I did read it, and it means the world to me 🫶

The operation went fine, everything is connected back together but now it will need some time to heal, and slowly start therapy to get back to strength again. For now it still hurts like hell and recovering will be a process of several months for sure. But I am determined to get back in the showrings with my camera somewhere this summer, as my recovery permits it. Thank you so much for all your support and best wishes!

I'm sorry to say that I won't be at the next planned shows for the coming months (Love Dog Show in Charleroi, Martini Dog Show in Groningen, Dogsgow Rijnland and Luxembourg). I had an accident that completely cut my nerve, artery and muscle of my right thumb. I will be in surgery after the weekend to reconnect everything back together. Doctors do expect a full recovery of functionality so around summer I will be back to full speed hopefully!

A few years back I took a picture of him and his gorgeous Frenchie in the ring once, it turned out he was going to be a returning customer and wanted to get into photography too. He came to me for advice on his first camera, and very quickly he upgraded his camera and lenses several times as he rapidly outgrew his entry-level hardware with his new-found passion.

He started calling me his Maestro, I called him my Padawan. He followed a workshop with me, and I was truly amazed with every time he posted new photo's. Meanwhile, he made such a tremendous development, I can't call him Padawan anymore. He is way beyond being a Padawan. He has become a young Jedi himself now, ready for his own battles.

I cannot express how valuable it is to me, when I can motivate, teach ad bring people to new heights with my own passion. I truly think this is (and will always be) one of the primal goals of humanity, spanning across all era's of mankind. You have helped me grow too by improving your skills so fast under my watch. I can never thank you enough for all of your efforts, and endless motivation to not only listen to my advices, but take them by heart and transform them into your own style.

My dear Salvatore, I'm beyond proud of what you have achieved in such a short time under my wings, but you will now spread you own wings as you have become my fellow Jedi, rather than my Padawan. Side by side we will stand strong through the ages. As humble as you are, never underestimate your abilities. You rock. Don't ever stop. 💪🏻🫶🏻
