Beachgoers enjoying a sunny afternoon were treated to a hilarious and slightly concerning sight when a pelican got a little too ambitious with its lunch. The massive seabird had swooped down and attempted to swallow a brightly colored, translucent plastic beach ball bobbing in the shallow water. As the rainbow-striped plastic stretched across the bird's enormous throat pouch, the sunlight hit it perfectly, making the pelican's neck look like a giant, glowing neon orb.

The surrounding crowd stopped to watch the ridiculous spectacle, initially worried that the bird might choke on the oversized toy. Fortunately, the pelican quickly realized the rainbow sphere was not a delicious fish and simply opened its beak, allowing the slippery plastic ball to pop right back out into the surf. Unbothered by its embarrassing mistake, the bird gave its massive pouch a quick shake and flew off to find a more traditional meal, leaving the beachgoers in stitches over the glowing optical illusion.

A local aquarium shop experienced an incredible and highly unconventional power surge when their resident electric eel decided to help out with the utility bills. During a brief neighborhood blackout, the shop's glowing neon "OPEN" sign miraculously flickered back to life. Staff quickly realized that the brilliant display was being powered directly by their large electric eel. Bright, crackling arcs of electricity were visible inside the glass tank, transferring raw, natural energy straight into the sign's wiring. It was a stunning display of biological power completely overriding the local electrical grid.

The glowing neon sign acted as a beacon on the dark street, drawing a large crowd of amazed onlookers who pressed their faces against the storefront window. The eel seemed completely unbothered by its new job as the shop's backup generator, casually swimming in circles while keeping the bright red and blue lights fully illuminated. Store owners eventually had to disconnect the makeshift power station when the city's electricity was restored, but the incredible event went down in local history. They now joke that they should officially put the eel on the payroll to help offset their monthly overhead costs.
