MESSAGE TITLE:
*THE HOLY SPIRIT: OUR PARTNER AND OUR GUIDE*
_______LUKE 1:35, MICAH 3:8, GALATIANS 5:22-23_________
The aim of this message is to show who the Holy Spirit, how he guides us, where he guides us to and how we can partner with Him.
If we are not partnered with the Holy Spirit, we will be slaves to other spirits in the spiritual realm because the physical realm is controlled from the spirit.
Who is the Holy Spirit? He is the third person in the trinity, which means he has the same authority of God The Father. Some people do not obey the voice of the Holy Spirit because they don't really know or understand who he is.
The Holy Spirit is the activator of the word of God. He makes the word come alive and become active in your life. He makes the promises in the word become our reality.
The Holy Spirit is the preserver of divine heritage. He keeps us, protects us and our heritage in God.
How does the Holy Spirit guide:
1. By the Word of God. Luke 24:31-32. He leads us but the word of God - from the Bible. So we need receive the word of God and obey it. He brings the word to life in times of need.
2. By His voice. The voice of God is distinct. It comes at a different energy level. It has its own signature. But you need to be conversant with the Word of God so you can adequately recognise the voice of God.
3. He guides us through anointed brethren. Every day believers who walk with God.
4. He guides us through visions. Acts 10: 10-17
Where Does The Holy Spirit Gudies Us To?
1. Into the Will of God. The best place to be is the center of God's will. The Holy Spirit knows what is in God's heart for us. So he guides us Into the will of God.
2. Into truth that brings liberty. He will bring the truth that we need to be free. 1 cor 2:10&11
3. Into the path of righteousness. Psalm 23:3
4. He guides us Into Fruitfulness and abundance Isaiah 32:15. He can make us fruitful beyond our capacity to contain it. Dry situations will become alive and fruitful.
5. He guides us into power. By the Holy Spirit is the power of God. Christianity without power is explanation. Christianity requires evidence not story.
6. He guides into unending victory. The way we won yesterday's battle might not be the way we win tomorrow's battle.
How do I partner with the Holy Spirit:
1. An unquenchable desire for the Holy Spirit. Nothing is above it. Nothing can quench it.
2. by building Intimacy. Jude 20. Build intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
3. By knowledge - this is knowledge by experiencing the Lord.
4. Total surrender
