But not in silence, and never without love.
Tee Yee🐶, a 17-year-old Shih Tzu, had long been quietly battling liver and kidney failure.
When we met her, she was resting peacefully—fur still soft, expression serene—
as though she had simply drifted into a long, gentle sleep.
She was more than a pet.
She was her owner’s companion,
her strength through the storm.
During Tee Yee’s final chapter,
her owner was also fighting her own illness.
Even while undergoing cancer treatment,
she never stopped caring. Never stopped loving.
Every meal, every gentle touch, every whispered comfort—
Tee Yee was always held close,
always at the center of her heart. ❤
They leaned on each other like two lighthouses✨ in the dark,
offering light, warmth, and the will to keep going.
And when the owner’s health slowly returned,
Tee Yee, quietly, began to fade—
as if passing the strength back.
A silent exchange of love.
At the farewell,
her owner sat quietly,
gently stroking Tee Yee’s ear, again and again.
She said nothing—
only let her hands remember what the heart would never forget.
There were no cries.
Only music, soft and slow.
And a stillness heavy with love.
Some grief doesn’t shout.
It just sits quietly beside you,
holding every memory with both hands.
Later, she brought Tee Yee’s favorite IKEA bag—
the one they always used for outings,
the one that once made Tee Yee leap with joy.
This time, it would carry her on her final journey.
She lay beside it peacefully,
as if finally able to rest.
No longer needing to be strong.
Letting go is never easy.
It’s countless nights of asking,
“Is it time?”
It’s a thousand unspoken words,
and, finally, the whisper:
“You’ve done well. You can rest now.”
This is love—
not in holding on,
but in gently giving permission to go.
At Piepie,
we believe every goodbye deserves to be gentle, warm, and complete.
Because love never truly ends.
It simply leaves a trace—
in memories, in stories,
and in the quiet light that guides us forward.
