🦴 **Are Air-Dried Bones Really Safe for Dogs?**
We've been asked this question many times, especially when customers see us offering air-dried chicken feet but not large bones like beef femurs.
After all, aren't they both bones? 🤔
Yes, but here's what many dog owners don't realise.
**Air-drying doesn't automatically make a bone safe.** It removes moisture, making bones harder but also more brittle.
And not all bones break the same way.
🐾 **Chicken feet** contain small, thin bones surrounded by skin, tendons and cartilage.
🦴 **Large, dense bones** like beef femurs can break into hard, sharp fragments, potentially causing serious injuries.
That distinction is one of the reasons we're selective about the chews we offer at WagglyCove.
Of course, no bone chew is completely risk-free. Your dog's size, age, chewing habits and supervision all matter.
