New commission finished!!

This handsome fella belongs to the wonderfully lovely Patricia Fry, and he was drawn on day 6 of my ‘500 miles for March’ challenge.

I don’t know what he’s called, but I’ve named him Aching Steven.

Steven likes sauntered herring, considerate people who share their music with the entire train carriage rather than being rude and keeping it to themselves with earphones, and doing blow-offs that sound like a duck with tooth ache.

I’ve obviously drawn this portrait in my ultra-realistic style, so usual reminder that my picture is the image on the right.

Every time I look at my baby, I feel something so deep it almost scares me, like a part of me lives outside my body and walks around on four paws, trusting me completely. It’s not just affection or routine or the comfort of having them near me on the couch after a long day; it’s this quiet, overwhelming knowing that we belong to each other in a way words will never fully explain. I see it in the way they watch me move around the house, like I’m their whole world, and I realize they’ve become mine too. Loving them has changed me, softened me, and tied my heart to something pure and unshakable. 🥹

Did you know:
If you have a pacemaker, you can put it in your Will to have your pacemaker donated to a dog in need after you pass. Pacemakers cannot be donated to another human, but they can be donated to dogs with cardiac issues who would depend on it to stay alive.
You can have the pacemaker brought to a vet of your choice. So many of those get thrown away and dogs die because people don't know they can do this. It even saves the dog's owner the cost of the actual pacemaker which sometimes means the difference in being able to afford lifesaving treatment or not.
