“Today I adopted a Human. It broke my heart to see him so lonely and confused. Suddenly I got his teary eyes to meet mine. I don't like the smell of sadness. I wanted to jump on him so badly. He spoke to me with a gentle voice and I just knew I had to rescue him! This human needed me.
So I barked with all my strength, I followed him blocks and blocks.
At last I got close enough to touch his hands with my nose. The human smiled and when he took me in his arms I could feeI his cold heart warming up. I approached his cheeks and felt a tear roll on them. I looked at him deeply and his response was a brilliant smile. I jumped excited into his arms, I promised to behave, love him forever and never part with his side.
How lucky he was to go through that block, down that street and I feel lucky too.
There were so many people walking around and no one was looking at me. I'm glad no one else chose me Today I saved a life. Today I adopted a Human”

~A DOG'S WILL~
My material possessions are few and I leave you everything.
A collar chewed at one end, a messy puppy bed and a water bowl with a broken rim...
I leave you half a rubber ball, a broken doll that you will find under the chair, a pile of bones buried under the floor of my little house...
I leave you my little hairs scattered all over the house....
In addition to that, I leave you my memories which are many...
I leave you the memory of two huge and affectionate little brown eyes, a wet muzzle, a wagging tail...
I left a stain on the living room carpet, next to the window, when on winter afternoons I made this place my own...
I left your favorite chair destroyed, I chewed it when I was a puppy, remember?
I leave you, just for you, the noise I made running on the autumn leaves, when we shared walks.
I leave you as a legacy my devotion, my sympathy, my support when things were not going well, my barking when you got up in an angry voice... And my frustration because you had been angry with me.....And without even having said a word in my whole life, I leave you my example of LOVE, PATIENCE and UNDERSTANDING.
Your life was happier... Because I was by your side.
My life was just as happy because I was by your side.
