🐾 Friedrich & Otto are looking for their forever homes 🐾

Friedrich (black) and Otto (tabby) are 3-month-old brothers looking for loving indoor-only homes.

As they are still young, we are only considering homes where they will have feline companionship, as kittens benefit greatly from having another cat to play and grow with.

💙 Both male
🏡 Indoor-only homes
Both are neutered, microchipped and treated against parasites.

If you're interested in adopting Friedrich or Otto, please send us a message.

We got many TNR neutering requests lately, and there’s only so much Francesca, our small team, and I can do on our own.

Over the last two weeks, we helped getting more than 30 cats neutered from a large colony of over 50 cats. At the same time, we’ve received even more requests from the northern areas of Malta, Qormi, and several other locations.

Right now, we really need more people to help with trapping, transporting cats to and from vet appointments, and especially with recovery after neutering. Recovery can take anywhere from 1 to 10 days depending on the cat.

If you’ve never done any of this before, don’t worry. We can guide you through everything. Every single one of us started with no experience.

Every cat that gets neutered helps prevent more kittens from being born into difficult conditions and suffering on the streets. We need to come together and help the cats that need us most.

Even if you only have a couple of hours a week to spare, it could make a huge difference. If you'd like to help, please send us a message and let us know what you can do. We’re in contact with feeders all across the island and can match help where it’s needed most.

We can provide traps, recovery cages, and organise the vet appointments, but there are simply too many cats needing urgent help right now.

Most of the feeders we work with are overwhelmed, exhausted, financially drained already and some are elderly. We don't accept blaming feeders for the situation, so please no discussions here about that here 🌷🌸

Last week’s neutering update
We forgot to post, but here it is:

13 cats were neutered in total!
📍 3 trapped from Gharghur
📍 2 trapped by Michaela from Qormi
📍 1 from Bahar ic-Caghaq
📍 2 trapped in Baharija by our friend
📍 1 trapped in Madliena by another friend
📍 3 trapped by Andrea
📍 1 trapped by Joseph

A huge thank you to everyone who helped trap, transport, and support these cats ❤️

At the moment, many females are nursing kittens, so we are seeing more males being neutered right now, as males usually only need around 24 hours recovery before release.

Every neuter makes a difference. Thank you for supporting TNR and helping us reduce suffering one cat at a time 🐱

He needs another young cat in his new home, as he likes rough playing with other cats. He is very friendly towards humans.

The last few days have been really tough for our volunteers and for me. We lost a kitten we were trying to rescue, and several things didn’t go as planned. Some situations are simply out of our control.

So today, I wanted to share something positive, an update on Freya, who you might remember as “Bingli from Dingli.”

On the 8th of November 2025, Michaela set out to trap the last unneutered cat in a colony in Dingli. She had already helped several cats from that area. Two days before this, a small kitten appeared in the colony, alone, without her mother, and desperately seeking attention. Michaela trapped her after noticing she was being bullied by the other cats and had no one looking out for her.

I took Bingli in and quickly realized how incredibly friendly she was. Maybe she had been abandoned, or maybe she was just relieved to finally receive kindness after being alone for so long, we may never know. What we did know was that she deserved a loving home.

She was neutered just a few days later, and it didn’t take long for her to find a family. Today, she is thriving and clearly happy in her new home. Her new best friend Eevie welcomed her immediately, making her feel part of the family from day one.

We’re so grateful that her adopter chose to give Freya the life she deserves.

By neutering stray cats, we help prevent more kittens from being born into hardship, allowing us to focus on those who urgently need rescue and care.
If you want to join our group of volunteers, please let me know 🙏

Neutering update 🐾

This week we brought 11 cats to the clinic for neuterings.

📍 Qormi - 1 male,
📍 Gharghur - 3 males and 2 females
📍 Burmarrad - 1 male
📍 Bugibba - 2 males
📍 Bahar Ic-Caghaq - 1 male and 1 female

Every neutered cat means fewer kittens born into struggle and a healthier life for those already on the streets ❤️
Thank you to everyone who supports our work. We couldn’t do this without you.

Titus and Ollie are looking for their forever homes. Both have been neutered, microchipped, deflead, dewormed, tested negative for parvo, giardia and fiv/felv.
Ollie (ginger and white) is around 10 months old while Titus (tabby and white) is around 7 months old now.
They can be adopted together or alone, but it's important the new family has another cat already, as both love the company of other cats.
If you are interested in adopting pls message us 💖
If you can't adopt and want to help out? Please share this post so Ollie and Titus will find a loving home soon🙏😸

Another week, another weird medical case.
This male cat was trapped by our friend Andrea Kiss. He was a newcomer to a stray colony she feeds.
When she brought him to us, we noticed blood in the trap, but couldn’t find where it was coming from. We assumed he hit his nose or paw while trapping.
He was extremely feral.
Now we know it was because of the pain.
The next day, the vet sent us these photos… and we were shocked.
He’s been living behind a BCRS machine surrounded by broken glass.
All four of his paws were injured, skin gone, tissue exposed.
And somehow he was still walking normally, because for him, this had become his normal.
He was neutered and had surgery on all 4 paws.
Andrea took him in for recovery, as he needs a longer course of painkillers and antibiotics. We really hope this boy recovers and can return to his colony.
He is one of the reasons we do TNR.
Only neutering can help prevent this kind of suffering.

Neutering Update: 4 cats this Week 🐾

This week we managed to neuter:
• 1 male from Bahar Ic-Caghaq
• 1 male & 1 female from Gharghur
• 1 female from Qormi

We did face a few complications, and with several cats currently needing medical care, our neutering efforts have slowed down a bit.
One already neutered male had his ears removed due to skin cancer on Tuesday. We trapped him as we weren't sure if he was neutered, then we noticed his ears. We usually can't take medical cases as we pay ourselves for it, but releasing him again without the cancer removal, would have been his death sentence. He now has the chance of living a happy life without constant pain 😸 ✨
Our focus is trapping and neutering stray cats and luckily most of the cats are neutered by the free goverment campaign, which we are very happy about 💖

Every single neutering matters. Every cat helped is a step forward

Thank you to everyone supporting us, we’ll keep going.
