Thanks to the Gulf Coast Community Foundation for providing critical funding in our coastal communities for spay/neuter. We must spay and neuter to reduce the number of strays and homeless pets.

We’ve awarded a total of $150,000 to six South Mississippi animal welfare agencies to offer no-cost spay/neuter services through this amazing program, which is made possible by the Jack A. and Gertrude W. Wilson Animal Welfare Fund.

Beginning July 15, you can apply for a FIXED for Life voucher through your county’s agency, which will handle all aspects of the program, including eligibility. ➡️ For more details, visit www.mygccf.com/ffC0. ⬅️

Meet Jett! This sweet, loving boy is a playful, cuddly, and loyal companion looking for his forever family. At around 18 months old, Jett is still very much a pup at heart—he’s full of energy, loves to play, and thrives with an active lifestyle.

Jett is great with kids, other dogs, and even cats (though he may try to play with them). He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and house-trained, making him more than ready to settle into a new home. He also uses a doggy door with ease.

Because of his high energy, Jett will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely run and explore. He’d love an adopter who’s home often or who can include him in daily activities—he’s happiest when he’s close to his people!

If you’re looking for a big-hearted, fun-loving dog who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Jett may be the perfect match.

The dog you are considering is located in South Mississippi. We conduct virtual meet and greets for out-of-town applicants and can provide for transport (fee added to cost of adoption) to many northeastern states. At this time we are not able to transport into Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine or Rhode Island.

Guess who’s back? Our sweet Carlos has fought Parvo—and he WON! 💪🐾

This brave little warrior has overcome one of the toughest battles a pup can face, and he came out stronger, sweeter, and more lovable than ever. It’s been a journey full of hope, care, and resilience—and thanks to the incredible support from our community, Carlos was never alone in his fight.

To everyone who donated, shared his story, sent love, or simply kept him in your thoughts—thank you. You helped save his life. ❤️

Now, this precious boy is looking ahead to his next chapter: a forever home filled with love, snuggles, and belly rubs. Carlos is the definition of a miracle pup, and he’s almost ready to meet the family that will give him the life he truly deserves.

After hiding in the woods in Diamondhead, MS for a week, some good samaritans were able to catch this dog who definitely had a home in the not to distant past. He is not chipped. Please share to help find his family.

Update: Our rescue volunteers were fully invested in helping this sweet boy receive the care that he needs. However, his owner reached out to the shelter to reclaim him and after being interviewed by the local Animal Control Officer, it was determined that since this boy had a vet last week, he would be returned to his owner. We are only slightly heartened by the fact that he had some pain relief by having a bath, fleas removed, matts and rockachaws cut out, and nails trimmed.

This dog was found yesterday in Bay St Louis near Avocados restaurant. He is not chipped.

He has a tumor on his mouth. He required hours of cleanup to get his matts, fleas, and rock a chaws out of his paws and fur. His nails were so long that they curved into entire circles. This baby was suffering but is doing much better today.

Mandatory stray hold. We will contact Animal Control today in the event any one comes forward.
