I got to watch over Jack today, we had a grand ol time like we always do except I forgot that it’s the summer and I decided to wear pants instead of my normal shorts so the walk was brutal but Jack was happy during the walk so that is all that matters 😆.

Last day watching over this bunch, let us Welcome Weston the Dog plus Luna & Comet the cats to the Devoted Companion family, I was double booked during my stay and thankfully they lived within walking distance from each other because my car was in the shop for repairs during my stay. The cats when I went to check in on them were super friendly and loved to try and trip me when I had to feed them, but the second they were done eating they walked off like I was invisible, thankfully most of the time when I go to pet them they let me instead of going away. Weston is a sweet boy even though he was stand offish but that’s to be expected since it was my first time watching over him, for the most part he did not want me near his bed because that was his safe space but he would sometimes walk around and come to me which was nice, I learned during my stay that if it sounds like it’s gonna rain or there’s weird noise or a animal making a noise in the neighborhood Weston did not like to go outside and he would fight me when I would put his leash on, he would turn and tug against it until I either scratched his back and that would get him to go outside or I just took it off and tried later. During my stay whenever I made food weston came around to see what I was eating 😆, you can’t see in the picture but Weston loved his walks

I forgot to post yesterday because by the time I got home I fell asleep shortly after and today I have been crazy busy, I was able to watch over Raven/Smokey/Lucy and Tripp for the day, usually I can only get one of them to lay in my lap but I saw my client use a blanket in a post they made so I tried it and it worked wonders, Tripp and Lucy spent a good time in my lap, Raven would smell me and sometimes lay in the other chair while Smokey as you can see laid in a basket, there isn’t anything else interesting to tell.

Last day watching over Lulu. This time she hasn’t spent as much time as she usually does in her cat tree. Every night though she sits by the patio door and meows at me or meows and paws at the glass door and it breaks my heart because I have to tell her no since it’s bedtime, she really loves laying out there.

Last day watching over Solly,Melodi, Crispin and Merci, Merci is new so let’s welcome her to the devoted companion family. I also took care of some birds and cats but the birds and cats were basically self sufficient except when I needed to feed them. Merci loves food and I mean LOVES food, it doesn’t matter what time I’m eating she’s there with puppy dog eyes even if she just ate, and she eats like she’s been starving even though she gets two meals a day. Whenever I’m putting everyone’s food down and here’s the order Merci,Crispin,Melodi and then Solly, when I get to putting Solly’s food down Merci is already finished and looking at everyone else’s, on another note Crispin loves to be outside even when it’s hot as hell for some reason and so does Merci, Solly and Melodi I have to run around to get them to go outside because they are just like me and love the air conditioning 🤣😆❤️.

I got to watch over Gus and Boudreaux today, on our walk I had to cut it short, because Boudreau stopped and would not keep going forward, but we spent plenty of time outside in the backyard and in the house. On a sidenote I guess throwing Gus’s watermelon toy around with him for awhile built trust with him because he slept on my lap and it was so precious the only problem was Boudreaux let out a toxic fart that had my eyes watering and me not being able to breathe 🤣.

Last day watching over Gracie,Cooper, and Remi, they were all great even though it was raining for a chunk of the time that I was there, I don’t know if god or the universe or whatever has a sense of humor but a couple times after giving Gracie a cookie that I dropped some dog cbd oil onto the rain stopped a few minutes later, like 😫 come on. But at least since it stopped she was able to calm down. Sadly Gracie seems to have arthritis of the spine so I had to give her some medicine every morning but thankfully after awhile it seemed to work and she was moving around and playing like there was nothing wrong. Cooper has just been Cooper a very rambunctious dog, I don’t know where he gets all this energy from. Remi on the other hand stayed close to me unless we were outside

Today is my last day watching over Lucy, she is a great dog but sadly it rained a lot during my stay, I say that because whenever I’m here and it rains she throws herself at me for protection and it hurts🤕😆. But I like to think that it means she trusts me and that she feels safe with me. Now while I was here there were a few times that I went to take a nap whether that was from eating or she tired me out when we were playing and when that happens she would jump onto the bed and nap with me, it was so sweet. The rain wasn’t all bad though, at least it was not always boiling hot outside, sadly because she does have a thick coat we couldn’t spend a lot of time outdoors playing, that had to be spent indoors but we made it work.

It was very last-minute, but I got to check in on biscuit and let’s welcome this new member to the Devoted Companion fam...

So sorry Bodie, Bailey and Rue. I totally forgot to make a post, I got to check in on them on the 21st, Rue did her own thing until it was time to feed her and when that happened she was stuck to me like Velcro. Bodie still loves his toys especially his red chew toy that you can see in the picture of him under the table, sometimes he’s good about dropping it so that I can toss it again other times you need the jaws of life to get it away from him 😂. Bailey is a good girl and stuck by me wherever I went, though I have to be careful petting her cause she sheds on contact 😁.

Today I was able to watch over Boudreaux and Gus , I tried taking them for a walk but they decided where I was taking them wasn’t good enough so we turned around and went a different way 😆🥰. After we got back and they were able to cool down I took them out to the back yard but we weren’t able to stay out long because it was so hot out, we did go multiple times and each time Boudreaux would go and sunbathe while me and Gus would play fetch well technically me throwing the Kong and Gus looking at it before running around with his tail going so fast until I would have to go and throw it again.
