🐹 Who Are Hamsters? 🐹

In recent years, hamsters have become one of the most popular small pets in Sri Lanka 💛
People around the world have been raising these adorable little animals for many years because of their cute looks, playful behavior, and easy care.

Although they may look similar to guinea pigs, hamsters are much smaller and usually prefer living alone rather than in groups 🐹✨

🐹 A Little History:
The first hamster species was officially described in 1839 by the English zoologist George Robert Waterhouse. However, hamsters did not become popular household pets until many years later.

Over time, they became widely used in medical research and scientific studies. Eventually, their friendly nature and low maintenance made them popular pets worldwide — including here in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰💛

Today, hamsters are loved because they:
✨ Need less space
✨ Are affordable to care for
✨ Eat small amounts of food
✨ Are incredibly cute & entertaining

Feeding only sunflower seeds to your Golden Dwarf Hamster will NOT turn them white 🤍
Their fur color is decided by genetics, not by sunflower seeds 😊

⚠️ But too many sunflower seeds can cause:
❌ Obesity
❌ Fatty liver problems
❌ Unbalanced nutrition

✅ Give sunflower seeds only as a treat!
A healthy hamster needs a balanced diet with pellets, grains, veggies & fresh water 💛

Sunflower seeds witharak dunnama hamster සුදු පාට wenne na.

Habai ⚠️ sunflower seeds witharak දිගටම dunnot problems enna puluwan:

Bara wadi wenawa (obesity)
Fat liver enna puluwan
Fur quality adu wenawa
Nutrition balance eka nawathinawa
