Empowering livestock farmers through smarter nutrition 🐖🐓
More than 100 participants—including farmers, veterinarians,
feed producers, and regulators are gathered in Siem Reap for three days training on animal nutrition to reduce the need of antimicrobials.
The training jointly organized by FAO and MAFF focusing on: 1). Reducing antimicrobial use (AMU) through better animal nutrition, 2). Enhancing feed quality and safety, and 3). Promoting responsible use of antimicrobials in livestock production. This training is funded by ROK-AMR ACT project.

Strengthening animal health systems requires action beyond national and sub-national levels.
To achieve comprehensive animal disease control, we must empower communities too. GDAHP, FAO and AVSF under the Pandemic Fund, over 1,200 Village Animal Health Workers (VAHWs) are being trained to recognize and report zoonotic diseases—an essential step toward early detection and rapid response.
