5 Days of Riding. A Lifetime of Dreams.

This past week, the ASTU grounds in Gilgil were alive with energy as the Equestrian Sports Federation of Kenya hosted a powerful 5-day training programme under the theme:
“Nurturing the Next Generation of Riders.”

Young talents from Xina Horse Riding School and Stables, Nairobi Equestrian Centre, Jockey Club Apprentices, our amazing hosts at ASTU, and vibrant beginners from the Gilgil community came together — and what a show of passion, grit, and pure love for the sport it was!

From first canters to fearless jumps, every rider took bold steps toward becoming Kenya’s future equestrian champions.
The saddles are polished. The dreams are bigger. The journey has just begun!

NURTURING THE NEXT GENERATION OF RIDERS

What an unforgettable ride and weekend that was!

The ESFK training program officially wrapped up in style at the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) grounds, and the future of Kenyan equestrian sports has never looked brighter!

From thrilling showjumping to elegant dressage, daring pe***ng, and fast-paced gymkhana races, our young riders lit up the arena with passion, precision, and pure heart — a true testament to what hard work and dedication can achieve.

We were honored to have the Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, close the ceremony — celebrating the incredible progress these young talents made. His inspiring words, along with the support from our amazing partners, showed just how powerful unity and mentorship can be.

A huge shoutout to our fantastic MCs, Classic FM’s very own Maina Kageni and the dynamic Joe Mwaura Karanja, who brought unmatched energy to the day!

Big thanks to all clubs and communities who took part — from Xina Horse Riding School and Stables, the The Jockey Club, the Polo Club, and especially the young rising stars from the ASTU community.

This is just the beginning. We’re not just raising riders — we’re raising champions. Saddle up, Kenya — the future is galloping full speed ahead!
