Paws and Whiskers

Today, I baked my very last barkday cake and said goodbye to my final Paws and Whiskers resident. With that, Paws and Whiskers is officially closed in Okinawa.

This moment is incredibly bittersweet. I am beyond thankful to every pet parent who trusted me with your fur babies. Please know that each and every resident and pawstumer left a lasting mark on my heart and my daily life. Caring for them filled my days with so much love, purpose and gratitude.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your pets’ lives, it has truly been an honor. I will carry these memories, wagging tails and happy moments with me wherever life leads next. Wishing you and your fur babies nothing but love, health and a beautiful year ahead. 🐾✨

Today hits a little harder than usual.

I received my first truly negative review and honestly, it stings.

Most of you know how much heart I pour into the work I do. The time, the passion, the long days, the tears behind the scenes. I genuinely give everything I have to make it the best it can be. Today was a reminder that no matter how much you give, it won’t always be enough for everyone and that’s okay. All I can do is keep learning, growing and striving to be better.

Diana, my little princess 👑🩷
It was such a joy looking after you. You were shy at first but once you trusted me and chose me as your person, you completely melted my heart. Every cuddle, every shadow and every hug meant everything to me.

Watching you bloom and feel safe and comfortable with the fam has been so sweet and so special. Diana loves mealtime (she never misses it 😂🍽️) and we had the best time at the park making happy memories together.

I’m so honored to have welcomed the New Year with you by our side. You bring so much love, joy, and warmth into our home. We’re so lucky to have you stay with us sweet girl 🐶✨

Happy New Year from Paws and Whiskers! 🐾✨

As many of you know, I’ll be leaving the island this year. While this next chapter is bittersweet, I wanted to personally thank you for trusting me with your furbabies. It has truly meant the world to me.

Because your pets are so important to me, I didn’t want to leave without recommending a sitter that I genuinely value and trust. This is someone who shares the same standards of care, love, and attention that I’ve always put into Paws and Whiskers. You can expect the same level of care and peace of mind knowing your pets will continue to be treated like family.

Oat stayed with us and completely melted our hearts 🐾🤍
Such a smart, gentle boy with the softest soul. He’s happiest just being near you curled up close, soaking in cuddles and offering the sweetest companionship. At the park, his joy shines through as he runs freely with so much happiness and confidence. Calm, loving and full of warmth, Oat is truly the kind of pup that makes every moment sweeter ✨🐶

🚨IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

Hi everyone 🤍
I wanted to share something important, I will not be accepting any new clients at this time. My family and I will be relocating sometime before March 2026, and I will need this time to get everything in order and prepare for the transition.

It truly breaks my heart to say this because this “job” has been so much more than a job. It has brought me so much joy and happiness, and it has been such a huge blessing in my life. I’ve had the absolute privilege of meeting so many precious pets and the most amazing pet parents through Paws and Whiskers.

Each tail wag, each cuddle, each funny moment they all meant something to me. I’ve learned so much, grown so much, and been genuinely blessed through all of you. Thank you for trusting me with your fur babies, for the loyalty, the kindness and the laughter.

Also I’ll still be baking for Paws and Whiskers Bakery until my very last day here 🐾🎂 So if you want something special for your fur babies, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Sweet Leo has officially stolen our hearts during his stay! He may be small, but he is definitely not afraid to voice his opinions loud and far. This little man stands on business! 😂🐾 He enjoyed lounging like the tiny king he is and always came ready with a big appetite for meals. On dog park day, he was trotting around confidently, taking in the fresh air and smelling the grass like royalty surveying his kingdom. 👑 We adored every bit of his personality, and we can’t wait to welcome Leo back again! 💚🐶

Daisy is the sweetest little princess who brings sunshine into every room she toddles into. She stays right by my side like the most precious little shadow, always checking in with those gentle eyes and that soft, loving presence. Her sweetness could melt anyone’s heart, yet she turns into the cutest, feistiest little firecracker when she plays with Milo, and watching her tiny bursts of sass always makes me giggle. She loves cuddles, she loves attention, and she gives back every bit of love with the warmest snuggles and the happiest little energy. Daisy is such a darling, joy-filled girl, and I cannot wait to see you again little princess! 👑 🩷
