🌼💖 Daisy Update! Our Little Fighter is Thriving 💖🌼

Daisy has officially passed the 1kg milestone, and we are absolutely thrilled to see her doing so well! 🎉 While she’s still living in her oxygen box full time, she’s enjoying all the joys of kittenhood—frolicking, playing, and being her sweet, silly self. Her training to be outside the box is on pause for now, especially after her emergency ICU visit a little over a week ago, but her strength continues to grow each day 🐾💪

She’s still receiving daily medications and nebulizer treatments, all lovingly given by her dedicated foster parent. Between in-person care and 24/7 camera monitoring, Daisy is truly in the best hands. She even has support from her foster’s resident cats, who keep her company through the box walls 🐱💕

On June 16th, Daisy will have a big checkup to reassess her condition and see if her care plan needs adjusting. Until then, we’re taking things one day at a time and celebrating the incredible progress she’s made so far. This little girl continues to fight with grace and joy, and her resilience inspires us every day 💗

Our sweet attic baby Eve has officially found her forever family! 💖 This stripey little darling was the first of her litter rescued, and the first to find a loving home to call her own. She’ll be joining a feline sister in her new home, and we just know she’ll bring endless joy, snuggles, and playtime antics to her new family 🐾

Eve was full of personality from day one! Curious, affectionate, and a little spark of sunshine. Watching her grow into a confident and loving kitten has been such a gift, and now it’s her turn to light up someone else’s life 💫

🌟🐾 Netasha the Brave! 🐾🌟

Netasha’s story is the one that started it all. This little adventurer was the first of her siblings to be rescued, after a Kawakuji volunteer heard the unmistakable cries of an animal in distress. They found Netasha tangled in discarded netting, completely stuck and scared. With great care and a whole lot of patience, the volunteer managed to cut her free and pull the last threads away using a bent clothes hanger. It didn’t take long after that for Netasha to realize humans weren’t so bad after all 💛

Now, a month later, Netasha has fully embraced the housecat life! She’s playful, loving, and a total chatterbox 🎉 Whether she’s zooming across the room, climbing (and occasionally falling from) the cat tree, or meowing dramatically for attention, she fills her space with energy and joy. She’s affectionate with her foster humans and loves being around her siblings, who she’s helped teach that people bring good things like food and snuggles.

She hasn’t chosen a single favorite sibling yet, but we know those bonds are starting to form. All four kittens are incredibly close and must be adopted in pairs for their emotional well-being. They’ve never been alone, and we want to ensure they go to homes where they can continue to thrive with one of their beloved siblings by their side 💞

🧡🎩 Garland the Gentle Goofball 🎩🧡

Meet Garland, the shyest little gentleman of his litter, and a total sweetheart underneath that bashful exterior! This tuxedo boy is learning more and more each day that humans mean love, snacks, and all the toys a kitten could want. While he’s still a little wary when picked up during free roam time, he’s happy to curl up for pets when the moment feels right 🐾

Garland has a big purr that kicks in the moment he feels comfy, and he feels VERY strongly about food. So strongly, in fact, that he’ll hiss and yowl at the food bowl… not because he’s upset, but because he just has so many feelings about mealtime and doesn’t quite know how to express them yet 😂 It’s weirdly charming, honestly.

He adores his siblings: Netasha, Cordelia, and Sisal; and we often catch them all curled up together or batting around toys as a team. While Garland hasn’t locked in a bonded pair just yet, it’s clear he’s deeply attached to his littermates. Like all the kittens in our care, Garland will only be adopted out as part of a pair, because companionship is key to a cat’s well-being and happiness 🧶

He’ll be ready for adoption soon, just one more week and a half until neuter, microchipping, and his second round of vaccines. Until then, we’ll keep enjoying his funny food noises, his boat-motor purrs, and his slow but steady journey into lap-cat life. Garland is proof that shy kittens make some of the most rewarding companions once they open up 💛

💜🌙 Cordelia the Gentle Soul 🌙💜

Cordelia may be the shyest of her siblings, but she’s also one of the sweetest. From the moment she came indoors, she’s watched the world around her with quiet curiosity. Though it takes a little time to earn her trust, once you do, you’ll find a kitten full of warmth and affection. Soft blankies, tasty snacks, and gentle words are the keys to her heart, and when she purrs, it’s like a boat motor starting up 💕

She’s never hissed, swatted, or raised a paw in fear. Instead, Cordelia calmly observes, soaking up her siblings’ courage as they explore the world around them. She adores her siblings and feels most secure in their company. You’ll often find her snuggled in a cozy pile with one (or all!) of them, or perched high on the cat tree enjoying the view. She’s quiet, but she’ll softly meow for meals. Her tiny voice is impossible to resist 🥹

Cordelia hasn’t officially picked her forever buddy yet, but her love for her siblings is undeniable. 🧶💛 Sisal the Brave Big Brother 💛🧶

Sisal was the first of his siblings to trust a human hand (after Netasha of course!) and he’s been a confident, loving little adventurer ever since! From the moment he came indoors, Sisal has shown his curious and friendly nature. He’s the “big brother” of the group, always eager to explore, lead the way, and snuggle up with whoever needs comfort 💛

He’s got a mighty motor of a purr and isn’t shy about using it, especially when getting belly rubs (which he’s starting to absolutely adore!). Sisal loves playing with puffballs on sticks, chasing his siblings through tunnels, and batting around noisy ball toys with impressive enthusiasm. His playful energy and growing love for cuddles make him the perfect balance of fun and affection 🥰

Though Sisal hasn’t officially paired off with a sibling just yet, he’s incredibly bonded to all three of his littermates, and we know the day he picks his forever buddy is coming soon. Like all his siblings, Sisal must be adopted in a pair so he never has to go without a feline friend to wrestle with, nap on, or groom 🐾

🌼💔 Daisy’s Setback, But Still Fighting 💔🌼

We have some tough news to share — yesterday, little Daisy was rushed back to the ICU after her breathing became strained and she stopped eating. It was sudden, scary, and heartbreaking for all of us 💧

The vets have told us that Daisy will likely face many ups and downs as she grows. Her body is still learning how to function with her condition, and these setbacks are part of her journey. One new concern is some water detected around her heart, which will need to be carefully monitored moving forward 💔🐾

While this isn’t the news we hoped for, the ICU team still believes in Daisy’s strength and her chance to live a full, normal adult cat life. We’re not giving up on her, and we know our community won’t either 💪🌈

💥🐾 TNR Victory: Six for Six! 🐾💥

Just one hour after we posted about catching three elusive feral cats, the final three were successfully trapped! That’s six cats saved from contributing to the painful cycle of overpopulation! 🙌🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱

One particularly feisty cat even lunged at our volunteer, and if not for the trap holding firm, we could’ve had a much scarier story to tell. But our volunteers are tough, compassionate, and brave, and we’re so proud of the dedication and love they show — even when there’s risk involved 🛡️💖

Every TNR means fewer kittens born to suffer and more cats given the chance to live safely and with dignity. These victories are only possible thanks to your support, and we’re so grateful for this amazing community 💫
