And week by week, the circle continues...
It's Feed the Pups Friday and we are exhausted, but come to you yet again to ask you to help us take care of the 90+ dogs in our care and the many strays on the streets that depend on our outreach for food. Each day, we get up (when the dogs wake us up - VERY early) and start our long, hot days. Feeding the dogs one by one. Filling water dishes. Administering medicines. Letting groups of dogs out of their kennel one by one to exercise and then collecting them back into their kennel so the next group can come out. Ensuring the groups do not cross over, lest their be vicious fights. Welcome guests. Clean. Shop. Run errands. Feed the street dogs. Pick up supplies. Etc. Etc. Etc. And when the day is done and we are bone tired, we can look forward to the same thing tomorrow. And the next day.
It would mean the world if we didn't have to worry about where the money is coming from and how we will afford the dog food or medication or vet visits or car repairs or any of the number of things that we fund with your support. Donations have been down. Maybe it's summer. Maybe it's the economy. Maybe you are distracted by other charities or other things. But I can assure you that we are still here. Still doing the same thing everyday, which is taking care of the forgotten strays of Negril. Please help if you can.
