No matter what I do, getting a photo of Rubio has been mostly a miss for weeks! Last time I took selfies of myself, this time only one photo until my phone died!

Rubio is a typical chihuahua mix who loves his human, a LOT! He is making great strides and is so close to letting me touch him.

I set him up with a halti and a stretch leash and he allowed me to handle his leash and even keep him outside while mom ran in for a minute!

He’s going to learn that most humans are pretty okay and we’ll get over that e-bike & scooter eating behavior now that he’s learning it’s okay to sit back and let the humans decide what’s scary.

Lexi is learning “middle/center” from a full heel on my left. This is all off leash in a private fenced in yard, no lead, no collar.

I’ll work on getting this on video when it gets a little warmer out.

She did well with another off leash and distracting dog within our working space.

4 Foot leashes only
All Dogs must be Licensed/Vaccinated

No Children
No aggressive dogs allowed

Classes will be fun!

Humans will learn to communicate more effectively, reinforce desired behaviors, and think creatively while solving problems with their dog.

Dogs will learn basic commands and obedience through exercises, games, de-stressing, and the recipe for pull free walking.

Originally I said I was going to keep things simple and just work on basic obedience, but I can never turn down a good Rat Terrier or Chihuahua.

So here is Rubio. He’s got some wild resource guarding and fear aggression for anyone who isn’t Mom and we’re going to get to the bottom of this before it gets any worse.

This guy is mad at the world and definitely mad at me! He took a few bites at me while walking the neighborhood with his mom while I served him from my arsenal of cooked meats.

Needless to say, he made a major improvement when we returned, seeming uninterested in the passer bys he usually terrorizes and more in tune with me, mom, and dad (who also came out to see how we were doing, lol). His barking and growling will probably return by next session, but it’s going to be great to see how he builds confidence in his young adulthood that wasn’t developed earlier.
