Eleventh Hour Rescue is made up of dedicated individuals who believe that innocent pets deserve love and a place to live where they are honored and cared for. We rescue dogs and cats at the "eleventh hour"--when they are scheduled to be put to death by shelters who can no longer care for them. We give the dogs and cats all the medical attention they require, a place to live, and through our adopti

on services, a second chance at a happy and fulfilled life. We are affiliated with many like-minded animal groups throughout the United States. We invite caring people to join us as volunteers and graciously accept help in the form of time, supplies and monetary contributions. Eleventh Hour Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization funded exclusively by donations.

The countdown is on! A new group of amazing dogs will soon be making their way to New Jersey, and we can’t wait to introduce them to you. ❤

☀️ Sunny Lonestar — A tiny survivor with a huge personality! This adorable Great Pyrenees mix was born into an unwanted litter and is now searching for a family who will give him the love and security every puppy deserves.

🐶 Finnegan Lonestar — This handsome 5-month-old Lab mix was found wandering as a stray, but his sweet, gentle personality shines through. He already knows how to sit for treats and is ready to be someone’s best friend.

🌹 Rosie Lonestar — Rosie arrived unsure of the world, but with patience and kindness, she learned that people can be wonderful. She’s now a gentle, affectionate pup ready for a fresh start.

🖤 Buck, Case & Petunia Lonestar — These beautiful pups came to us as strays and have shown just how resilient they are. They’re sweet, loving, and ready to leave their past behind for a forever home.

✨ Winston & Coach Lonestar — These boys are true comeback stories. Found starving and covered in fleas, they never lost their trust in people. Now thriving in foster care, they’re playful, affectionate, and so thankful for their second chance.

At 54 pounds, this handsome boy is carrying a few extra pounds and could benefit from shedding a little weight—but that just means he'll be thrilled to have a family who enjoys walks, adventures, and helping him stay active!

Marco is an incredibly sweet and friendly dog who loves meeting people and making new friends. He walks nicely on leash, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has a fun, happy-go-lucky attitude that makes him a joy to be around. 💔 Unfortunately Lenny (originally Manny NJ) is back in our care and looking for a home again. 🐾

Sometimes, even the sweetest dogs find themselves back in rescue through no fault of their own. Lenny was adopted as a young puppy, but unfortunately his family could no longer provide the time and attention a young, growing dog needs. Now this handsome boy is hoping his next home will be the one that lasts forever. ❤️

At just 7 months old, Lenny is already a big boy at 60–65 pounds and still has some growing to do! But don’t let his size fool you — this gentle giant is a total cuddle bug who loves being close to his people.

Lenny can be a little shy when meeting new friends, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality shines. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love a confident canine companion to help him continue building confidence. He’s even cat-friendly! 🐱

Lenny has lived with teenagers and has proven himself to be a loving, loyal companion. He’ll benefit from continued training, patience, and a family willing to help him feel secure as he learns that he is finally home.

🐾 PUPDATE TIME! 🐾💙

Remember Gumbo? Well, he officially became Max… and we couldn’t be happier to share that he is absolutely thriving in his forever home! 🏡✨

His family says Max fit right in from day one, and in just two months, this little guy has already doubled in size!

Max has been busy:
🎓 Graduating from puppy school
📚 Starting his intermediate training class
🧠 Showing everyone how quickly he learns

Outside of being a star student, Max loves the important things in life:
🪢 Playing tug of war
🎾 Learning how to fetch
🌿 Relaxing in the grass while watching the wildlife around him
🦴 Chewing on sticks like it’s his full-time job
And when it’s time for a nap? Max has some very specific favorite spots:
🐶 On the back of the couch
🐶 Hidden behind the couch pillows (check out the pictures to see his expert hiding skills!)
🐶 Snuggled right up against his people

We are so happy that Max found the family he was always meant to have. ❤️ Thank you for opening your hearts and giving him his furever home!
