Meet Whitney!
Whitney is an absolute sweetheart looking for her forever home! Dog, kid, and farm animal friendly!
She’s great with kids. The foster’s kids fight over who gets to sleep with her! She’s gentle, lets kids hold her neck while they cuddle, and doesn’t mind if they touch her ears or feet. She’s a calm, loving companion who will quickly win your heart.
Whitney has amazing recall and walks beautifully on a leash. She only barks when she hears something unusual or someone at the door, like a little protector alerting you! She’s not a chewer (unless it’s her toys or bones), and she drops things when asked.
She’s been improving every day, she’s becoming more confident and less skittish. Whitney had a rough start, she used to cower if someone lifted their hand, so we suspect she may have been abused, but she’s blossoming into a sweet, trusting girl. She even loves belly rubs now!
She’s anxious in a crate, so she’s been left out when alone while we work on building her confidence with it.
She’s playful, social, and had a blast at the dog park, getting along wonderfully with other dogs.
Whitney is loving, loyal, and ready to be a part of a family who will give her the love and patience she deserves.
