for several reasons:

1. **Ultrasonic Technology**: Emmi-Pet uses ultrasonic waves to remove plaque and tartar without the need for mechanical scrubbing. This technology can reach areas that a toothbrush might miss, effectively breaking down and dislodging deposits.

2. **Gentle and Non-Invasive**: The ultrasonic cleaning process is gentle and doesn’t harm the gums or enamel, making it suitable for pets that may be sensitive to traditional brushing methods.

3. **Thorough Cleaning**: A professional cleaning session can provide a more thorough cleaning than home brushing, as it can access hard-to-reach areas and provide a more comprehensive treatment.

4. **Regular Maintenance**: Professional cleanings can be scheduled regularly, ensuring that dental health is consistently monitored and maintained, which is harder to achieve with home care alone.

5. **Expertise**: Professionals are trained to recognize dental issues that may not be apparent to pet owners. They can provide immediate treatment or recommendations for any problems they find.

6. **Less Stress for Pets**: Many pets find the professional cleaning process less stressful than home brushing, especially if they are not accustomed to having their teeth brushed.

Overall, while home brushing is important for maintaining oral hygiene, professional cleaning can complement it and address issues that may require more advanced care.

Periodontal disease is a term used to describe inflammation and infection of tissues surrounding the tooth.

It begins with plaque building up on the teeth, causing inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) if not removed. Plaque is an invisible accumulation of bacteria which sits on the teeth. Gingivitis is always the first stage of periodontal disease. It is the only truly reversible stage.

As the disease progresses, mineralised plaque begins to form a hard brown substance known as tartar. The gums recede and bleed easily. This can cause pain, smelly breath and often infection. If left untreated, infection can spread deeper. Overtime this can cause teeth to become loose and fall out, which is a long and painful process.

Periodontal disease builds up gradually over time, our pets usually continue to eat and seem ok despite any pain/discomfort that they may be feeling. 🐾🦷

When plaque accumulates at the gum line, it can cause inflammation of the gums, known as gingivitis. This condition is often characterized by redness, swelling, and bleeding of the gums. If gingivitis is left untreated, it can progress to periodontal disease, which can result in the loss of teeth and potentially affect the dog’s overall health. Bacteria from periodontal disease can enter the bloodstream and lead to complications in the heart, liver, and kidneys.

These issues are not only painful for your dog, but can lead to even more serious problems such as Kidney and Heart disease.

Emmi-Pet’s Ultrasonic Toothbrush for Dogs combats these issues.

Without maintaining a dog’s dental hygiene, a trip to the Vet is a likely event.

Unfortunately in these circumstances, one of the first solutions is for the Vet to sedate the dog using anaesthesia.

Regardless of a dog’s general health, there is always a risk involved with anaesthetic.

Dog’s oral health is directly related to their overall health, specifically, heart health and distant organ health.

The bacteria that resides in the oral cavity is breathed into the lungs and can get into the bloodstream through superficial tears in the gum line, meaning an increase in inflammation throughout the body.

Small preventative measures such as regular brushing, appropriate chews, treats and water additives can significantly slow the progression of gingivitis, plaque, and tartar accumulation.

Well, it’s brushing! Unfortunately, though, in order for brushing to be most effective you need to brush your pet’s teeth at least 3 times a week.

Emmi-Pet’s Ultrasonic Toothbrush for Dogs combats these issues.

Bad breath of dogs can be caused by a multitude of reasons.
These include food residues on or between the teeth or residues from play activities, e.g. wood or fabric residues.

Even if these reasons for bad breath in dogs are relatively harmless, they should be taken seriously: Last but not least, they are often the trigger for more serious causes of bad breath in dogs.

Ignored in the long term, they can lead to tartar

Optimum dental care for dogs starts at a young age at best: regular and conscientious dental care is recommended to effectively prevent tartar in dogs.

Even though puppies usually have bright white teeth, it is advisable to get used to dental care in a playful way already at puppy age.

The emmi®-pet ultrasonic toothbrush is particularly appropriate for this purpose due to its silent and vibration-free operation.

No! The Ultrasound technology is completely painless.

There is also no noise or vibration from the brush and the toothbrush just needs to be held against each tooth for approx 30 seconds, so no brushing or scrubbing is necessary, most dogs very quickly accept the process.
