Nell’Obedience è proprio così.

Allenarsi significa mettersi alla prova, aumentare le difficoltà e scoprire che qualcosa che pensavamo solido… forse ha ancora bisogno di lavoro.

Ed è proprio questo il valore dell’allenamento: non dimostrarci quanto siamo bravi, ma mostrarci dove possiamo crescere.

Scoprire una debolezza non significa fare un passo indietro.
Significa aver trovato il prossimo passo avanti. 💪🐾❤️

🇬🇧 “Training is based on a paradox: it makes us feel weak, but in reality it makes us stronger.”

In Obedience, this couldn’t be more true.

Training means testing ourselves, increasing the difficulty and discovering that something we thought was solid… may still need some work.

And that’s the real value of training: not proving how good we are, but showing us where we can grow.

Finding a weakness doesn’t mean taking a step backwards.
It means finding your next step forward. 💪🐾❤️

E tanta qualità in campo.

Questo weekend le nostre istruttrici Genny De Bortoli ed Elena Meda hanno dimostrato ancora una volta cosa significa essere conduttrici complete, capaci di esprimere tecnica, esperienza e preparazione in discipline diverse.

✨ Genny & Gingerbell Alterego “Cody”, nella prova FL B, firmano un’obbedienza da 92 punti, conquistando il premio per la Miglior Obbedienza FL B.
Una prova bellissima da vedere: naturale, fluida, precisa. Quella naturalezza che sembra semplice, ma che nasce da tanto lavoro fatto bene.

🚀 Elena & Mind the Dog Golan “Harry”, alla loro prima prova FL V, conquistano il 1° posto con 191 punti.
Un cane giovanissimo alla sua prima esperienza e una conduttrice esperta capace di accompagnarlo in campo lasciandogli esprimere tutta la sua energia e il suo potenziale.

E oggi… si cambia disciplina.

🔥 Genny & Tasmania — 175 punti

Quattro cani diversi.
Due giorni consecutivi.

Una prova di abilità, addestramento e versatilità di grande valore: essere capaci di guidare cani diversi, cambiare disciplina e restare concentrate, precise e performanti.

È questo che vogliamo raccontare dei nostri istruttori in Obedience Academy.

Non soltanto insegnare, ma allenarsi, mettersi alla prova, gareggiare e continuare a crescere come conduttori.

This weekend, our instructors Genny De Bortoli and Elena Meda once again showed what it means to be complete handlers, combining technique, experience and preparation across different disciplines.

✨ Genny & Gingerbell Alterego “Cody”, competing in FL B, delivered a beautiful 92-point obedience performance, earning the award for Best Obedience in FL B.
Natural, fluent and precise. The kind of performance that looks effortless, but is actually the result of a lot of good training.

🚀 Elena & Mind the Dog Golan “Harry”, in their very first FL V trial, took 1st place with 191 points.
A very young dog facing his first experience, guided by an experienced handler who allowed him to express all his energy and potential.

And today… a completely different discipline.

🐾 Both successfully passed their FV tracking test!
🔥 Elena & Gangster — 183 points
🔥 Genny & Tasmania — 175 points

Four different dogs.
Two consecutive days.
Different disciplines.

A great demonstration of handling skills, training and versatility: being able to work with different dogs, switch disciplines and still remain focused, precise and competitive.

This is what we want our instructors at Obedience Academy to represent.

Not only teaching, but training, testing ourselves, competing and continuing to grow as handlers.

Because what we bring to our students starts with the experience we gain ourselves in the field.

Chi cerca di imitare i più grandi senza conoscere i propri limiti, si rovina.”

Una frase dura. Ma nell’Obedience dice qualcosa di molto importante.

Guardare i grandi binomi è fondamentale.
Studiare chi è più avanti di noi, prendere ispirazione, osservare tecnica, precisione e metodo ci fa crescere.

Ma ispirarsi non significa copiare.

Ogni cane ha tempi diversi.
Motivazioni diverse.
Fragilità diverse.
E ogni binomio ha una storia e un percorso che non possiamo vedere semplicemente guardando il risultato finale.

Quello che per un cane è un esercizio semplice, per un altro può essere una montagna.
Quello che un grande campione fa oggi è spesso il risultato di anni di lavoro che noi non abbiamo visto.

Il vero obiettivo non è allenarsi come i più grandi.

È imparare dai più grandi e costruire la versione migliore del proprio binomio. 🐾❤️

Perché nell’Obedience il confronto più importante non è con chi hai davanti.

È con chi eravate ieri.

A harsh sentence. But in Obedience, it says something very important.

Watching great teams is essential.
Studying those who are ahead of us, taking inspiration from them, observing their technique, precision and methods helps us grow.

But being inspired doesn’t mean copying.

Every dog has different timing.
Different motivations.
Different weaknesses.
And every team has its own story and its own journey — something we cannot see simply by looking at the final result.

What is an easy exercise for one dog may be a mountain to climb for another.
What a great champion can do today is often the result of years of work that we never saw.

The real goal is not to train like the greatest.

It is to learn from the greatest and build the best version of your own team. 🐾❤️

Because in Obedience, the most important comparison isn’t with the team in front of you.

It’s with the team you were yesterday.

LA FELICITÀ DEL TUO CANE, INVECE, DICE TUTTO. ❤️🐾

Nel nostro sport è facile misurare tutto: punti, qualifiche, podi, medaglie, classifiche. 📊🏅

E inevitabilmente finiamo per misurare anche noi stessi attraverso quei numeri.

Ma una coppa non racconta come sei arrivato fin lì.

Non racconta quanta fiducia hai costruito. 🤝🐕
Non racconta quante volte hai scelto di fermarti invece di pretendere.
Non racconta se il tuo cane entra in campo con te perché deve farlo… o perché vuole esserci. ❤️‍🔥

Possiamo desiderare precisione. 🎯
Possiamo essere ambiziosi.
Possiamo voler vincere. 🏆
Possiamo lavorare ogni giorno per diventare tecnicamente migliori.

Ma senza mai dimenticare una cosa:

✨ Il risultato più importante è avere accanto un cane che, quando capisce che è il momento di lavorare con noi, non vede l’ora di cominciare.

Le coppe possono essere grandi.
Le medaglie possono brillare. ✨🥇

Ma niente racconta il nostro lavoro quanto gli occhi di un cane felice di entrare in campo con noi. 🐕❤️

Perché alla fine…

In our sport, it’s easy to measure everything: points, qualifications, podiums, medals, rankings. 📊🏅

And inevitably, we start measuring ourselves through those numbers too.

But a trophy doesn’t tell the story of how you got there.

It doesn’t tell how much trust you have built. 🤝🐕
It doesn’t tell how many times you chose to stop instead of asking for more.
It doesn’t tell whether your dog enters the ring with you because they have to… or because they truly want to be there. ❤️‍🔥

We can strive for precision. 🎯
We can be ambitious.
We can want to win. 🏆
We can work every day to become technically better.

But we should never forget one thing:

✨ The most important result is having a dog beside you who, the moment they realize it’s time to work together, simply can’t wait to begin.

Trophies can be big.
Medals can shine. ✨🥇

But nothing tells the story of our work better than the eyes of a dog who is happy to step into the ring with us. 🐕❤️

Because in the end…

☀️🐾 OBEDIENCE ACADEMY SUMMER CAMP 2026 – THANK YOU! 🐾☀️

Ci sono Camp che finiscono… e Camp che ti rimangono addosso. ❤️
E questo Summer Camp è stato decisamente uno di quelli.

Prima di tutto un enorme grazie ad Agility Lana, e in particolare Dorise Tanya che ci hanno accolto in una location semplicemente pazzesca: alberi, verde, tantissima ombra, spazi perfetti per lavorare con i nostri cani e una clubhouse sempre a nostra disposizione. 🌳🐕
E come se non bastasse, siamo stati coccolati con pranzi e cene fatti in casa davvero buonissimi. 🍝❤️
Non avremmo potuto desiderare una casa migliore per questi giorni.

Un grazie enorme al nostro team di istruttori: Luca, Elena, Nadia e Genny.
Ancora una volta siamo riusciti a lavorare come una vera squadra, mescolando tante anime diverse:

🐾 tecnica e dettagli di Obedience
🔥 motivazione e il nostro mitico Picasso Training
💪 fitness training con Nadia
🧠 una parte teorica, perché ogni tanto bisogna far lavorare anche noi e non solo i cani 😜
❤️ coaching personale, parlando di motivazioni, gestione emotiva e di quelle famose “etichette” che spesso siamo proprio noi i primi ad appiccicarci addosso.

Ma era anche Ferragosto.
E a Ferragosto non si può essere seri tutto il tempo! 😂💦
Quindi sì: abbiamo corso, giocato, riso e ci siamo tirati addosso una quantità decisamente poco professionale di palloncini d’acqua.

Tutto è iniziato già venerdì sera con una bellissima prova gara in notturna, per poi vivere insieme due giornate intensissime.

È stato anche un Camp davvero internazionale 🌍: italiani, tedeschi, austriaci e francesi. Lingue diverse che si mescolavano a bordo campo, inglese e italiano durante le lezioni… ma alla fine una lingua era uguale per tutti: quella dei cani e dell’Obedience. ❤️

E poi il mix che amiamo di più: persone e cani alle prime esperienze insieme a tantissimi binomi di Classe 2 e Classe 3. Esperienze diverse, obiettivi diversi e livelli diversi, con la possibilità per tutti di guardare, confrontarsi, imparare e condividere.

Perché alla fine un Camp non è fatto solo di esercizi.

È fatto delle chiacchiere a bordo campo, delle risate, delle persone che si aiutano, delle amicizie nuove e di quelle che si ritrovano.
È fatto di cani, sport, conoscenza, emozioni e soprattutto tanta voglia di stare insieme.

📸 E forse questa foto di gruppo racconta meglio di tante parole quello che sono stati questi giorni: un grande gruppo, tante persone diverse e la stessa enorme passione che ci unisce. ❤️

Grazie a tutti quelli che hanno scelto di passare questo Ferragosto con noi.

☀️🐾 OBEDIENCE ACADEMY SUMMER CAMP 2026 – THANK YOU! 🐾☀️

Some Camps come to an end… and some stay with you long after they’re over. ❤️
This Summer Camp was definitely one of those.

First of all, a huge thank you to Agility Lana, and especially to Doris Rafelli and Tania Pickler, for welcoming us to such an amazing location: surrounded by trees and greenery, with plenty of shade, perfect spaces to work with our dogs, and a clubhouse always available to us. 🌳🐕
And as if that wasn’t enough, we were spoiled with delicious homemade lunches and dinners throughout the Camp. 🍝❤️
We couldn’t have wished for a better home for these days.

A huge thank you to our team of instructors: Luca, Elena, Nadia and Genny.
Once again, we managed to work as a real team, bringing together so many different aspects:

🐾 Obedience technique and attention to detail
🔥 motivation and our legendary Picasso Training
💪 fitness training with Nadia
🧠 a little theory, because sometimes we need to exercise our brains too, not just our dogs 😜
❤️ personal coaching, talking about motivation, emotional management and those famous “labels” that we are often the first to put on ourselves.

But it was also Ferragosto — the Italian summer holiday!
And you simply can’t be serious all the time on Ferragosto! 😂💦
So yes: we ran, played, laughed and threw a definitely-not-very-professional amount of water balloons at each other.

Everything started on Friday evening with a fantastic night-time mock competition, followed by two incredibly intense days together.

It was also a truly international Camp 🌍: Italians, Germans, Austrians and French participants. Different languages mixing around the training field, English and Italian throughout the lessons… but in the end, there was one language we all shared: the language of dogs and Obedience. ❤️

And then there was the mix we love the most: people and dogs taking their first steps in the sport alongside many Class 2 and Class 3 teams. Different experiences, different goals and different levels, giving everyone the opportunity to watch, exchange ideas, learn and share.

Because in the end, a Camp is not just about exercises.

It’s about conversations around the training field, laughter, people helping each other, new friendships and old friends meeting again.
It’s about dogs, sport, knowledge, emotions and, most of all, the joy of being together.

📸 And perhaps this group photo tells the story of these days better than words ever could: one big group, so many different people, all brought together by the same incredible passion. ❤️

“Il problema non è il problema. Il problema è il tuo atteggiamento verso il problema.”

Questa frase, resa celebre da Pirati dei Caraibi, vale anche nel nostro campo.

Il cane sbaglia un esercizio.
Perde concentrazione.
Si alza da un fermo.
Lascia il riporto.
Si distrae.

Quello non è il problema.

Il problema nasce quando trasformiamo quell’errore in frustrazione, rabbia o fretta.

Ogni errore è un’informazione.
Ogni difficoltà è un’opportunità per capire cosa manca davvero al nostro cane… e a noi come istruttori.

Chi cresce davvero non è chi incontra meno problemi.
È chi impara ad affrontarli con lucidità, pazienza e metodo.

Perché nell’obedience, come nella vita, il risultato cambia quando cambia il nostro atteggiamento.

The dog makes a mistake in an exercise.
Loses focus.
Breaks a stay.
Drops the retrieve.
Gets distracted.

That is not the problem.

The problem begins when we turn that mistake into frustration, anger, or impatience.

Every mistake is information.
Every difficulty is an opportunity to understand what is truly missing in our dog… and in us as trainers.

Those who truly grow are not the ones who face fewer problems.
They are the ones who learn to handle them with clarity, patience, and method.

Because in obedience, as in life, the result changes when our attitude changes.
