Introduction to the Factors Affecting the Poor Quality of Queen Bees.
In this video, we take a look at the causes and effects on the health and good performance of queen bees: the lack of reproductive quality, longevity, and overall health in hives is influenced by the effects of climate change and the lack of innovative management techniques.
There are many causes, including the s***m quality of drones (viability and health of the s***m), and the viral load that queens can contract during mating. It is the quality of drone s***m — not simply the low volume of s***m (i.e., the queen mated with too few drones) — and the viral load contracted by the queen during various stages of her life, which we will explore in more detail in the next video, as well as the viral load present in the hive where the queen is introduced.
