Herewith we present our best picture of the year 2024!
The vote for the best photo of 2024 is over and of course there were once again many, many beautiful, funny, breathtaking pictures and everyone has their personal favorite as a souvenir of their trip.
Who doesn't remember seeing an interested horse at the picnic table as a guest in 2024? Sometimes Bullet snorted gently in the ear, reminding you that he also likes salty bread, or Siska who gave a rough nudge on the shoulder while taking the wine cup towards to the mouth. Or Windy, who often thinks it's a good idea to take his nap in the shade next to the picnic blanket and stretch his lower lip down to the delicacies in relaxation. A very frequent guest at lunch is Ringo. With his googly eyes, it seems he wants to put the eater into a kind of trance by stunning him so that he can see that he has to share his piece.
In this picture it is Double P. our Painthorse, who lovingly asks Carmine our boss, guide, cook and historian of Molise what he is doing and it seems as if he wants to say ; don't cut the pieces too small 😉 . D.P. has only been with us since 2019 and we love him for his sweet, respectful, patient nature.
It is a privilege for us to share this with guests from all over the world in nature, with good wine, regional cheese and a delicious frittata and our horses. Having some time to sit down together, talking about our adventures and enjoying the siesta in the sun is one of our favorite parts of the day. We are looking forward to share another picnic with you this year.

What are you doing with your horses in winter, when the days are shorter, the temperatures lower and the fingers cold after cleaning the water place for the horse?
Do you have the same rythmn as in other seasons?
Is there another training program?

Our horses get barefoot and have to do mainly nothing. Some little rides or walks but the focus is to care the old and training the young in a easy way without pressure. We do not have a strict program,which we follow.
As you know, if you plan something it always comes different.
This morning we wondered where our 2 gelding youngsters were. We found them in the saddle room which has two closed doors, one close by lock and the other also by rope.
You can imagine the saddlerooms with all the tack inside, was looking after all ?!
- better than two years ago as the two young mares went in 😅

🍁Our horses know these passage and they like to stay and enjoy in the water for a while.
There is no need to push them and hurry up.They can take their time.
After the first horse, the water isn't clear anymore and the riders do not see the ground as also the horses but they remember a big step at the end.
It is fantastic to discover these moments with your horse where you grow together, learn from eachother and begin to trust.

that's it!
Our last trail of the year is done and we had again a fantastic week with lovley guests.
If people from all over the world start feeling the rythmn of Altomolise and the life in nature we become satisfied and thankful.
It is a unique land and has so much to over!
