Do you know the difference between aqua treading and swimming your horse?🌊

Let's do a compare and contrast!⬇️

Compare:
✅Both are considered "hydro-therapies"
✅Both use water resitance

Contrast:
✅Aqua treading is a more controlled environment than swimming
✅Aqua treading is less impact on the horse's body
✅Aqua treading uses a natural gate of walking while swimming uses a "doggy paddle" gate not natural to the horses movement
✅Horses are able to maintain their back posititions while treading, and are more likely to invert their back while swimming, potentially causing back problems.
✅Treading is a great use for rehab, low-impact conditioning, and strength training, and swimming is mainly used for high-impact cardiovascular training.
