Blessed Monday 🙏🏻🕉️

The final test of righteousness was never power, war, or victory.
It was compassion for the voiceless.

A civilization that recognized divinity in a homeless dog thousands of years ago should never normalize cruelty in the name of modernity.

Rest in Peace 🕊️ 💕🙏🏻

Mrs. Cecelia Edwards Dewan will always be remembered as a woman of immense kindness, grace, and compassion. Through her warmth and generosity, she nurtured a family that continuously opened their hearts to those in need — both people and voiceless animals alike.

The Edwards family has long stood as a pillar of support within the Darjeeling community, quietly extending help wherever it was needed most. Their compassion reached even the forgotten strays of the hills, supporting rescue efforts and welfare initiatives with sincerity and love.

Their kindness toward animals was beautifully reflected when they generously sponsored 500 packed lunches during “PawRathon” — a marathon and walkathon dedicated to raising awareness and funds for animals in need. It was not simply an act of charity, but a reflection of the values Mrs. Edwards herself embodied: empathy, humanity, and selfless giving.

Mrs. Cecelia leaves behind more than memories — she leaves behind a legacy of compassion carried forward by her family, especially Mr. Ajoy Edwards, whose continued kindness reflects the beautiful values she nurtured throughout her life.

May her soul rest in eternal peace. 🙏🏻

Society Fears The Wrong Ones.

Rapists and pedophiles destroys lives and walk out on bail to flower showers, cheering crowds, and open arms — while survivors live with fear, trauma, and silence for the rest of their lives.

The world was never made dangerous by the voiceless sleeping on the streets.
It became dangerous the moment predators started receiving sympathy, protection, and freedom faster than victims receive justice.

Ask yourself again — who is the real threat to society?

A child searching for food beside a stray dog is not a symbol of resilience —
it is evidence of how deeply society has failed the vulnerable.

🚨 Adoption Alert 🚨

These two beautiful sisters are searching for their forever homes and a loving family to call their own. About a month ago, they were cruelly separated from their mother and abandoned on a busy road at 6th Mile, Darjeeling.

Thankfully, they were rescued and are currently being fostered by the kind-hearted Miss Pema Lamu Sherpa, who already cares for many rescue animals.

Please consider opening your heart and home to at least one of these babies and give them the love, safety, and family they truly deserve. ❤️

A recent study by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology found that wildlife tourism in five tiger reserves is raising stress levels in Indian tigers and affecting the breeding area choices of tigresses.

Tigresses are retreating deeper into forest areas to find undisturbed locations to breed. But with wildlife safaris snaking through large sections of the forest, it is getting harder for them to find peace.

“Sometimes there are over 30 to 40 vehicles looking at one tiger, making noise, taking photos. Often the tiger runs away and hides for hours waiting for the crowds to pass,” the study’s lead author, G Umapathy, told ThePrint.

The study, conducted by scientists at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)—Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) was published in the Zoological Society of London journal Animal Conservation on 7 May.
