When we communicate with animals, not all messages come in clear words.
Many times, they send us symbols or metaphors — like a wave of water, a closed window, or a glowing sun.
These images aren’t always literal.
They’re emotional. Energetic. Personal.
A river could mean freedom.
A storm could mean inner turmoil.
A cage could mean grief, fear, or feeling trapped.
But here’s the key: We don’t get to decide what it means.
The meaning belongs to the animal.
So when a symbol shows up, we pause — and ask them:
“What does this mean for you?”
Sometimes, the answer comes as a feeling.
Sometimes, we just know.
And sometimes, it’s the human family who helps fill in the picture.
The more we practice, the more fluent we become in this symbolic language.
But even as we learn, one thing stays the same:
Respect the animal’s voice. Let them lead.
Metaphors are doorways.
Let’s not rush through them.
Let’s walk gently, together.
