SC issues Interim directions ; extends Scope of Matter making it pan-India.

Matters pending in other High Courts will be transferred for a final national policy.

Prohibition on release of strays is stayed.

Strays must be dewormed, vaccinated, and returned to the same area.

Dogs with rabies or aggressive behaviour must be immunized and not released.

Dedicated feeding spaces for stray dogs must be created.

With this order, it has been acknowledged that they cannot be wished away or exiled.

Spay/ Neuter. Vaccinate

Adopt. Educate.

The onus is on every Indian.
We have to do right by them.

A Live Demo & Workshop by Kirsten Dillon

Kirsten Dillon brought to life the subtle and essential nuances of dog behaviour in a full-day, hands-on learning experience. She began with an exclusive session for the veterinarians and staff at CARE, focusing on practical insights tailored to shelter environments. In the afternoon, she engaged registered participants involved in rescue, fostering, and training—sharing actionable strategies to better understand, communicate with, and support dogs on their journey from rescue to a loving home.
We are grateful to Vijay Raghunathan for introducing us to Kirsten and helping coordinate this workshop.
