Dr.Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan, 23rd Year of Remembrance🙏
Humility and humour are a potent combination in a great man. Few can resist it. Dr. V. Krishnamurthy, or "Doc", had abundant quantities of both, giving him an endearing childlike personality that attracted people of all ages. Doc had a natural affinity for elephants and knew all his patients by name. He could recall many years later, the details of their specific ailments, treatments and temperaments, as well as, in many cases, their exact dates of birth, death or capturel Though sought after by people around the world for his advice on clephant care and trealment, Doc never lost touch with his old colleagues in the jungle camps and continued to enjoy the company of young wildlifers he had worked with in the field. The Indian wildlife conservation fraternity has indeed-lost a twinkling star from its constellation.
ஆக சிறந்த மனிதனின் உன்னத குணங்கள் – தாழ்மை மற்றும் நகைச்சுவை. டாக்டர் வி. கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி, எல்லோராலும் “டாக்” என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டவர், இவ்விரு பண்புகளும் நிரம்பியவராக இருந்தார். அவரின் குழந்தைத்தனமான, எளிமையான நடத்தை அனைத்து வயதினரும் அவரை தன் தோழமையாய் நேசிக்கச் செய்தது.
டாக்டர்.K அவர்களுக்கு யானைகளுடன் இயல்பான பிணைப்பு இருந்தது. அவர் சிகிச்சையளித்த யானைகளின் பெயர்களை மட்டுமல்லாமல், பல ஆண்டுகள் கழித்தும் அவற்றின் நோய்கள், சிகிச்சை முறைகள், குணாதிசயங்கள் ஆகியவை பற்றிய நுண்ணிய தகவல்களை கூட நினைவில் வைத்திருந்தார். பல யானைகளின் பிறப்பு நாள், இறப்பு நாள் அல்லது பிடிபட்ட தேதிகளையும் கூட துல்லியமாக நினைவிற்கு கொண்டு வரக் கூடிய அறிவாற்றல் அவருக்கு இருந்தது.
உலகம் முழுவதும் இருந்து யானை பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் சிகிச்சை குறித்து ஆலோசனை பெற பலர் அவரை அணுகினாலும், தனது பழைய யானை முகாம்களின் சக ஊழியர்களை ஒருபோதும் மறந்ததில்லை. அவர் தன்னுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றிய இளம் வனவிலங்கு ஆர்வலர்களின் நட்பை என்றும் மதித்து மகிழ்ந்தார்.
இந்திய வனவிலங்கு பாதுகாப்பு சமூகம், அதன் விண்மீன் கூட்டத்திலிருந்து பிரகாசமாக வழிகாட்டிய ஒரு நட்சத்திரத்தை இழந்துள்ளது —
