MISSING CAT ALERT !

We have lost this loving pet from Karishma Society, Kothrud !!!

He is 100% housecat, neutered . He lived with me for 7.5 yrs but ran away within split seconds while door was getting closed!

He is golden and white in color, with fluffy tail just like long haired Persian cat. Now he might be seen as handsome as the photo. He must have turned brown & muddy. But his tail would be fluffy. His height, build is a big cat build!

Has anyone seen this baby at some shelters, at someone’s house or in parking, or terrace ?

They say you can judge the heart of a person by how they treat an animal, and what Bhura endured was unimaginable. He was heartlessly thrown onto a scorching footpath to suffer in the blistering heat, left to grill alive while already battling seizures and a raging fever. When we found him, his body was failing, but his spirit hadn't given up yet. We rushed him to the vet, offering every bit of water, food, and comfort we could provide, praying that this strong boy had one more fight left in him.

Against all odds, Bhura fought his way back to life. He chose to stay, to heal, and to trust again despite the cruelty he faced. We are so incredibly proud to announce that the shadows are behind him now. He isn’t just a survivor; he is the newest member of our family.

Everyone, please meet Bhura—our miracle boy who proved that love will always be more powerful than hate.

The wait is finally over, and our hearts are absolutely full! We are beyond thrilled to share the incredible news that our beloved Cashew has officially been adopted. Cashew’s journey began on the streets, where she was found wandering until a kind soul reached out to us for help. We took her into our care with the initial hope of reuniting her with her original family, but when no one came forward, we made it our mission to find her the "forever" she truly deserved.

It wasn’t a quick journey; finding the right match for Cashew took an entire year of patience and hope. But as they say, the best things are worth waiting for, and she has finally found her perfect humans ! We are overwhelmed with joy to see her finally enjoying the life of comfort and love she always earned.

A massive thank you goes out to every single person who played a part in this success story. Whether you shared her adoption post, offered a kind word, or helped us care for her during her year with us, you are a part of Cashew’s "happily ever after."

She is now living her best life, and we couldn’t be more grateful to this community for making it possible!

Total six dogs from Jidnyasa school, Sutardara and Mhatobanagar were recently caught for Sterilization.

Thankful to Blue Cross and Canine Control and Care team for always supporting us for Sterilization drives 🙏🏻

Yesterday these two community cats from Utsav Hall, Paud road were admitted at Karma Foundation, Aundh for Sterilization.

Our hearts skipped a beat recently when our beloved Raja was involved in a serious accident. He was hit by a truck, leaving his paw severely injured and bleeding. We initially jumped into action with spot treatments, doing everything in our power to stabilize him, but the injury was too significant for us to handle on-site. Realizing he needed urgent professional care, we rushed him to the vet where his wounds were thoroughly cleaned and stitched to manage the trauma.

The following morning, Raja was admitted to Blue Cross Hospital for the intensive treatment he required. Today, we are breathing a collective sigh of relief as we finally see his wound looking dry and healing well.

We are beyond grateful to the dedicated hospital team for their expertise and for giving Raja the specialized attention he needed during such a critical time. He is a brave soul, and we are so glad to have him on the path to recovery.

Yesterday we were informed about an injured Parrot who was unable to fly near Samrajya society.

He was immediately secured and later was surrendered to RESQ wildlife team.

Denise – Our Ashwatthama !

In the epic Mahabharata, there was Ashwatthama — cursed to live forever, with wounds that would never heal. Not dead. Not whole. Just… surviving.

At BSF, we have our own Ashwatthama.
His name is Denise.

Found one cold December morning with his two tiny siblings - warm, hopeful, unaware ! The siblings vanished. Denise stayed. Fear drove him beneath an iron shade, where the harsh sun slowly burned his skin. What began as shelter became his lifelong curse.

Years passed, skin turned to wounds, wounds refused to close, his nose lost flesh. A hole formed in his upper jaw, taking away even the simple comfort of drinking water. Infections claimed his tail.

Today, this isolated soul trusts only a few hands at BSF. Lives mostly alone. Happy all the time..... but never truly healthy.

Like Ashwatthama, he carries unending pain. But unlike the warrior, Denise has committed no sin. His only fault was being born on the street.

Many times we feared loosing him. Many times he chose to stay.

There is something quiet and stubborn in him that says, “I am not done yet.”

Maybe it isn’t a curse - Maybe it is courage.

Denise does not just survive - He endures.
