🟤An epulis is a mass arising from the gingival tissue in a dog's mouth. These masses are typically solitary and do not metastasize, but they may be locally invasive, especially if left untreated.

🔴Surgery is the recommended treatment to remove the epulis.

🟢Symptoms of Epulis in Dogs
Most pet owners first notice epulis as a raised, red mass on their dog's gums. Some dogs may exhibit no other symptoms. In some cases, other symptoms of epulis may include:

Hypersalivation
Halitosis (bad breath)
Bleeding from the mouth
Facial swelling or deformity
Difficulty chewing on the affected side
Reluctance to eat
Weight loss
Pawing at the face
Lethargy

What is an ovarian cyst??

In dogs, ovarian cysts include the fluid-filled structures of any size present within the ovaries, they may be unilateral or bilateral. They are a common finding, particularly in older females and in females under contraceptive treatments.

A massive ovarian cyst in a 9 year old uneutered female dog was removed at the clinic.
