Teach them The Art Of Doing Nothing 🥰

We always teach the basics, sit, down, leave it etc but what about teaching them to actually switch off and chill out!💡

This is so important and more than often it is missed.

Dogs need to learn to switch off, they need to relax, having a dog that is constantly chasing after a ball or running around the garden is not healthy for your dog or your family.

They end up with a broken sleep pattern and very scatty behaviour.

Teach them to switch off! 🐾❣️

🐶 I have a job !!

All dogs need a job. The more they stay at home, it’s important to still work their minds and bodies.

There are many types of jobs. Some are practical like putting away their toys. And other jobs like playing fetch are just for fun.

Dogs with jobs generally have lower anxiety levels, more confidence, and happier lives.

Do you have James Bond in your dog !!

Here is a Trainer Tip :

Desensitise them to you leaving the room. If your dog gets up when you do, keep standing up and sitting down until they stay settled. Then try getting up and walking out of the room.

If they start to follow you, walk around the room until they stop following you and get bored. Then try leaving the room.

If they follow you, keep going in and out of the room until they give up following you. Don’t turn it into a game, but just ignore them until they get bored

Training your dog to be happy in their own company can require a lot of time and work, but it will help your dog feel more confident in themselves.

Here's the thing about training the dogs. EVERY DOG CAN LEARN!!

🐶 - Nora : A 8 month very beautiful Indie who was initially very anxious and who also felt overwhelmed by her surrounding when she joined for the training with us institute. We were so happy to see her open up herself to us.

🐶 - Luna : A 6 year old who was feeling little uneasy yet she was open to be trained with new tricks.

🐶- Maya : A 9 year old Labrador thriving with high energy and she looked forward with eager eyes towards learning and meeting new people.

Below things will never hold your dog back from training:

- Age (Young or Old)

- Agression

“Why is my dog being destructive?”

There are usually three possibilities as to why your dog is destroying your home:

-Lack of exercise
-Boredom
-Anxiety

If you didn’t notice- “I put lack of exercise” at the top of the list for a reason. Your dog needs a lot more exercise than you think. Labrador, an Indie and a Maltese will need different levels of exercise. Elderly dogs need less than younger dogs. But EVERY dog needs it!!!

Here are a few ways to give your dog the exercise they need DAILY. These do not include the things your dog also needs for mental exercise!

-Fetch (backyard or up and
down stairs)
-Play dates or dog park
-Long runs around the neighborhood (Walking is not physical exercise for a dog that can run up to 35 mph!!!)
-Agility training (not just jumping through a hoop)
