A 12-year-old Portuguese Water Dog was brought to Petplanet Clinic with a large vaginal mass that had gradually increased in size over the past six months.
Initially, surgery was postponed due to the patient's age. However, as the mass continued to grow, it eventually obstructed the urethral opening, causing difficulty in urination and significantly affecting her comfort and quality of life.
Following a thorough clinical evaluation, surgical intervention was recommended. During the procedure, multiple masses were successfully removed, relieving the obstruction and giving her the opportunity for a more comfortable life.
The patient recovered smoothly, and seeing her return home healthy is the greatest reward for our team.
