Himalayan Nature Society

Himalayan Nature Society HNS is a Dharamshala based non-profit organisation working for the welfare of the stray dogs.

Feeders, volunteers and people giving medical assistance have joined hands in this initiative of HNS. We are providing veterinary health care services to sick and injured stray dogs. Currently we are aiming to create animal birth control (ABC) awareness and are actively engaged in sterilization programme. We welcome and encourage compassionate volunteers to participate in our programmes and help us make life of the stray animals beautiful.

Today I had posted about the pup who was taken to Palampur on 23rd July. Now she is back. As you can see, both her hind legs are in plaster now. She is feeling better and will be fit & fine in another couple of days.

Hope all of you are doing fine!!
Today I'm sharing a post of a little stray pup who was rescued by Surender & Ankit on 23rd July. She had a fracture in one of her legs. After giving first aid, Surender & Ankit took her to Palampur hospital for further treatment as she also has many wounds.
We hope that she recovers soon.

Dear everyone🐶🐶

Good day to all of you 🐶🐶
Today I am uploading a video of a stray pup who was put inside a box and left outside HNS shelter. The condition of this pup is not good, he has wounds and is infected by insects. For the last two days he has been under treatment at HNS shelter. Ankit is removing insects from his wounds and he is being given medicines & food.
It is really very sad to see these creatures suffer so much. We all know it's been raining heavily in Dharamshala. As humans we should do our bit to help these stray animals at the time of distress.
I want to express my gratitude to the team of HNS who are always ready to help these stray souls, comfort them, give food and medication to them, no matter how difficult the circumstance.
I also urge the people of Dharamshala to pls support HNS. You can always drop in to HNS shelter and give them ration, medicines for the stray friends. You can give few minutes out of your busy schedule to appreciate the efforts of the HNS team. Spending some time with these stray animals will make you happy and relieve you of stress.

Will start with Cleo, a stray pup who was dropped outside HNS shelter by someone🐶 She is a smart and bubbly pup, you can see her pics🐶 Cleo has been vaccinated and is ready for adoption🐶
Anyone who adopts Cleo will get a loving & faithful friend for life and Cleo will get a family🐶

In its endeavour to help the stray animals during the lockdown, HNS feeds our stray friends every single day in Dharamshala area 🐶
Yesterday, HNS helped a Bull who was injured near the workshop area🐄 He has a wound on his leg🐄 HNS team applied medicine and gave food to the bull🐄
There was another case of a dog having worms in his ears. He was also brought to the HNS shelter yesterday and is being treated for the same🦮

HNS team is busy distributing food to the stray friends in Dharamshala area🐶🐕🐩🦮🐕‍🦺 On 30th May HNS rescued an injured stray Dog from Post Office area. He was badly injured but is now in the HNS shelter and is in safe hands🦮
Today also HNS received a call from a local resident from Kalapul area needing help to rescue a furry stray from a nallah near that area🐕 He was rescued at 4pm today🐕 His legs and backbone are damaged🐕 He is under treatment at the HNS shelter🐕

I thank HNS and its members for providing food, shelter and medical help for our stray friends🐶🐕🐩🦮🐕‍🦺

Hope all of you had a great Sunday🐕
Yesterday, HNS had a case of a dog trapped by a clutch wire of a car in Skoh Police Line🐕‍🦺. He was rescued and treated for the injury🦮 There are pics attached🐕‍🦺.
Other than this incident, feeding the stray animals continued🐕🐩
I once again request you all to pls keep food & water for the stray animals outside your home🐕🐩 In these difficult times, not only us but animals are also facing lot of problem🐕‍🦺.🐕🐩 🦮 Pls help them🐕‍🦺.🐕🐩 🦮
