They Are Not Just Strays. They Are Lives. ( What we are becoming as a society!!).
In my locality, stray dogs are silently suffering from canine distemper—a deadly, highly contagious viral disease that attacks their respiratory, nervous, and digestive systems. It’s not zoonotic, but it destroys them from within. Many die. Some survive—disfigured, twitching, blind, limping.
One young dog, barely 16 months old, now lives with one blind eye, a damaged leg, and trembling muscles. She was dropped here by someone who “loves dogs,” but left her to fend for herself—no mother, no siblings, no protection. Every day she fights bigger dogs for food and space. And now… she’s dying slowly.
💔 We could look away. Pretend it’s not our concern. But we won’t.
With a few friends, I’ve been vaccinating, neutering, feeding, and offering medical support to as many as we can—out of our own pockets, time, and energy. It is overwhelming—emotionally, physically, financially. And yet, we do it. Because we believe that a kinder, cleaner, more compassionate society begins with how we treat the voiceless.
Many strays are still poisoned, beaten, run over, or simply ignored.
This isn’t just about dogs.
This is about who we are becoming as a society.
We’ll continue to serve, not because it’s easy—but because it’s right.
🕊️ What will you do for the world you want to live in?
Because in the end, service is society.
And conscience is contagious.
