Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
​It has been a terrific year, and it’s been truly amazing to see so many riders progress so much in such a short period of time. We want to thank all of our customers for choosing to ride at our yard; your support means the world to us.
​A huge thank you to Elaine for being such an incredible instructor, and to our entire staff for creating a space that is fun, safe, and welcoming. We also want to recognize our advanced riders who help out so much on Saturdays who help out so much.

There was a great article by Judith Faherty in the Irish Field this week on riding schools. The number of centres is going down on account of so many factors. We, and others very much like us, do our best to provide for young people what was provided to us at their age. Unfortunately it is an expensive sport to provide but at the moment it's no more expensive than music lessons. It keeps kids outdoors, we facilitate strong friendships and help foster a healthy respect for animals and nature and so much more. To be exempt from commercial rates (like bovine farmers) and to have more grants available to us similarly to regular schools would be hugely beneficial in keeping costs down.
I know schools feel they can't ask for more from customers without excluding some of their customers from the sport which, to me, would be sad.

To everyone who rode with us and supported us over the years, thank you for letting us do the thing we love, and hopefully, we will be able to do it for many more years.

Congratulations to our Max and Lily-Rose Loughney, who won their equitation class last week with the Galway Mid County Branch. The standard was high, and her competitors pushed her to perform her best and leave no room for error.

Thanks to all her supporters on the day as well.

Only a few weeks until Christmas. We will be running two Christmas camps over the holidays. Unfortunately or fortunately, the holidays only allow for two 2 day camps. We will have the first camp on the 26th and 27th and the second on the 2nd and 3rd. 100euro for the 2 days 😊
