It may appear as scum or green paint on the surface of ponds or lakes, but even a small amount can cause dogs to become seriously ill. Keep them out of water that looks suspicious, and always check for warning signs when out on walks.

WHEN YOUR MIND SAYS NO...BUT....??
Your heart says YES.

At times you wonder, would you be better off closing your eyes and repeat the mantra after me: No, No, No???

When Jane the Vet called for help, that is exactly the position (Anne) (Mother Theresa) found herself in. Mum squashed in the road, and 5 baby kittens, around 10 days old, now orphans.

Because of our own brutal workload, we could not get to Cork immediately so Jane ( West Side Veterinary Surgery) took them home for the night, INSPITE of the fact that with two small children she too has her hands full.
So, yesterday we went up, and there they were... 5 babies, no Mum.

My heart goes out to Anne.... another set of weeks with Almost no sleep. Trust us, headrearing 5 babies and sleep simply do not go together.
But on the Flip side ? They are safe, warm and very much loved.
When my time comes, inspite of the endless mistakes I have personally made, I can hold my head up high, for now soon to be 25 years, we the Cork ACS.... YOUR ACS, has fought the good fight.
Their Lives...Our Passion defined us and the living proof is Anne, Elisabeth Penny.
PLEASE say a prayer for her, as supported by our team, she will leave no stone unturned to protect, love and cherish them.

To Jane of the West Side Veterinary Surgery and her staff, we say:
