Dear members, followers and equine enthusiasts,
It was announced at our AGM that the Board of directors decided it was in IQHA’s best interest moving forward to create a new and improved page!
Please follow our new page Irish Quarter Horse Association Clg - IQHA. Western Riding Ireland. where we will be posting all our upcoming events and notices ☺️

‼️Competitors that have stables booked‼️

Everyone has stables assigned with their names on the doors ☺️

Some of our stables have “ push “ automatic drinkers , if your horses are not used to these we recommend you bring a bucket for water.

Please call Paul Duffy half an hour before you land in Drumcoura so he can be in the yard at your time of arrival ☺️ (085) 783 1414.

‼️Some other information for the weekend !
An email has gone out to all competitors with additional information ☺️

🕗The show will start at 8am.

👓 Spectators are free!

🚗Alternative directions to Drumcoura from Ballinamore town.
Take the R199 towards Newtowngore.
In about 1.8km of being on this road there is a right turn, (there is a blue sign for Drumcoura Lake Resort)
Drumcoura will be 3.5km down this road on the left.

🐴If day stabling is required for your horse , please let us know in advance. Fee for day stables is €15 and spaces are limited.

🍔Collette’s Mega Bites Catering is coming for Paul’s Wild West weekend so breakfast will be available in the yard Saturday and Sunday morning!

We are so excited for this weekend and we hope to see you all there ! 🤠

It’s time for Throwback Thursday! 🔙

This week we are delighted to feature Theresa Fitzpatrick and her horse Tomahawk Rebel, who is a Welsh/Arab cross.
Theresa bought Hawk as 2yr old, broke and trained him then competed in multiple western events throughout Ireland over numerous years 🇮🇪.

Some of their achievements 🏆
2012 HSI: 1st in Trail.
2013 IQHA: 1st in Trail & 1st in Halter.
2014 IQHA Championship: 1st in Trail and Halter Champion.
2015 Southwest and Western: 1st in Trail & Supreme Halter Champion.
Multiple Top 10 placings in Showmanship & Western Pleasure.
They have also represented IQHA at the Punchestown Races as well as featuring on tv multiple times 🙌
