This female was picked up yesterday evening 29/7/26 on Donabate beach, she is chipped buy we cannot contact the registered owner, if this is your dog give us a call at the shelter on 087 3914008, proof of ownership reclaim microchip and licence fees will be required.

Heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency that can cause seizures, organ failure, internal bleeding, coma, and even death.

Dogs are especially at risk during warm weather, particularly:
• Flat-faced breeds
• Overweight dogs
• Giant breeds
• Thick-coated dogs
• Very young and senior dogs

✅ Walk early morning or late evening only
❌ Avoid walks between 12pm–4pm
✅ Provide plenty of fresh water and shade
✅ Offer cooling treats such as ice pops
❌ Never leave a dog in a car, even for a few minutes

🐱 Cats already know exactly what to do, find the coolest spot in the house and sleep through the heat 😊

If in doubt, skip the walk. Your pet's safety comes first 🐾

It is a legal requirement to have your dog microchipped, and the free clinic by Dublin City Council is offering the service for free
