Our blind cat Mr Magoo had been adopted by the loveliest people! ♥️ They previously had a blind cat and knew just how easy they can adapt to their new environment.

He’s now called ‘Elton’ and along with his wonderful humans, he has cat and dog friends and lots of toys to play with. He has settled in so quickly already and we’re just delighted 😀 💕

Thank you Sandra & Ruby for adopting Elton, we love his new name!

It will possibly take a while to find a home for Mr Magoo so let’s try get his gorgeous face out there in the hope that someone special falls for him. How could you not? ♥️

Magoo is an absolute sweetheart. He loves everyone, is full of purrs and headbutts and is so happy to get attention and rubs.

His blindness causes him very little trouble, he finds his way around very quickly, can manage to jump up and down and will happily play with a toy just by using his other senses (see his amazing video on our page 😻)

Obviously, for his own safety, he would need an indoor home (or a catio to keep him safe outside)

He gets on well with other cats and I think he’d adapt just fine to a cat-friendly dog too.
He’s an all round sweetheart who will bring so much joy to a home. If you think Magoo is the one for you, please complete the adoption application (link in comments) ♥️

Magoo is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, has had his first vaccine and will get his booster in about two weeks time. It would be amazing if he had a forever home waiting for him 🥰

Despite being completely blind, Magoo is a wizard with the ball!

Guess who found her purrfect forever home last weekend and spent Saturday night watching the BAFTAs with her fab new Mammy, Adrienne? Pretty little Leah!

We can’t believe how quickly she began to settle in. Meant to be ♥️

Magoo doesn’t let his blindness hold him back. He’s the loveliest little dude, so sweet and really starting to live his best life. It’s amazing to watch him having fun.

Old man, Albert, is on the naughty list this week for slapping his blind roomie! 🙀🤣

🤣

This looks fab 😻

Leah is now adopted 💕💕💕

A little bit about Leah…

Leah is six years old and the daintiest little fluffball.
She is a little bit nervous to begin with but soon comes around and loves attention (and food!)
She is nervous around other cats too and will hiss a little at first but it’s just fear, when she is used to them, she actually loves the company. She has shared with two different cats here who ignored her when she did it and she quickly realised they were no threat and contentedly snuggled up to them.

Because she’s a bit of a scaredy cat, we think she’d better suit a quiet home.

Her beautiful coat needs regular brushing and probably an occasional groom at the Vets if her tummy or butt get matted.

She’d happily live indoors all the time with a window to look out or safe access to a garden to potter in once she’s used to her new surroundings.

She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Negative for FIV/FeLV.

If you can offer this sweet little princess that perfect forever home, we’d love to hear from you. Our adoption application is on the website under ‘adopt a cat’.

Please share to help Leah find her new person who will love her ♥️

✅ Curbs unwanted behavioural patterns associated with sexual maturity
✅ Reduces the risk of certain diseases such as FIV which is often transmitted due to mating and fighting with other cats
✅ Prevents uterine infections and decreases the incidence of breast tumors
✅ Reduces the risk of reproductive diseases
✅ Eliminates heat cycles
✅ Reduces the risk of your cat straying and getting lost

We encourage anyone experiencing financial barriers to neutering and spaying their cats to contact [email protected].

A wonderful news day today! Sid was adopted by the loveliest human who will spoil him forever 🥰

The beautiful Sid went off to his new home with Denise who came to collect him today. It is definetly a match made in heaven.
Thank you to Susan from The Cat Sanctuary who has spent the last couple of months nursing him back to health and spoiling him rotten. A wonderful woman with a heart of pure gold.
We look forward to hearing some updates on Sid and how he is doing.
Thank you to all those who helped in his recovery and all those who donated to his treatment. 🐈‍⬛

We’re finally getting to a point where Sid would like to start interviews for his forever home ♥️

Sid has been here almost three months and has had treatment and care for a massive wound to his head. It’s almost fully healed now thanks to Sid being such a good guy with an amazing patient temperament. He tolerated all the bandage changes and wound cleaning with patience and gentleness and made it all so much easier than it could have been.

Sid is a big cat. He’s about 6kg in weight now and not fat, he’s very tall. He is really good with other cats. Doesn’t mind them at all. The only small issue is around food. Sid was starved and hasn’t forgotten what it’s like to feel very hungry so he will eat incredibly quickly and as much as is in front of him. Because of this, he’d have to been given regular meals rather than being left with food on demand.

As an adult cat, he is typically low maintenance and chills out most of the day. He would like to be part of a family as he loves a rub and will purr loudly. He’d also like to be able to safely venture outside once he gets used to his new home.

If you’re interested in adopting Sid, you can do so through the lovely people in K W W S P C A Kitty Cottage. Text Elaine on 0894588162 to book an appointment to meet this special guy. All going well, he’ll be ready to leave here in the not too distant future ♥️

Here’s hoping Sid finds the perfect forever home after all he’s been through, he really deserves it 💕
