Equisteps is an equestrian centre set up specifically with the intention of catering for those with addition needs that may not be met in a regular riding school. We are based in SpruceLodge, Redcross, 1 mile from Jack Whites pub. The state-of-the-art facilities include scenic riding trails and a large purpose built indoor riding arena. Equisteps is run by Helen and Essie who both have a passion f

or education within the equestrian world and a strong belief in social inclusion for all. The team have particular interest and enthusiasm for the role of the horse in promoting and encouraging self-development through meaningful and constructive equine activities. Equisteps are now offering:
Therapeutic riding lessons
Recreation riding
Private lessons
Equestrian vaulting for groups of up to 8
Contact with ponies through grooming
Stable Management sessions

It is with a broken heart that we share the news of losing Butler on 30th December.. He was a once in a lifetime horse for me personally and loved by every person who had the pleasure to meet him. An ugly ducking bought by my mum and I when he was 15 months, he grew into a handsome gentle giant with the heart of a lion and he retired back into a hairy mammoth for the past 2 years. 22 years of pure joy.
I can not thank Georgina, Paul, and Hans enough for their care of Butler in his last 36 hours. Devasting as it was not to be with him. I could not have asked for 3 better people to be with him.
Sleep tight, big lad.

Mega proud of this pair today. Morgan, our new vaulting horse has been having some intensive canter training over the past 4 weeks with visiting Swiss vaulter, Carsten. Last Friday, Carsten vaulted on in canter and Morgan accepted it like.a.pro. Today, Kate Copeland, one of our Monday vaulters did her first ever solo vault on, first on super cob Louis, then on Morgan! There's many improvements to make, but my goodness I could.not be more.pround of them both! Onwards.
