Tucker Geraghty giving his thoughts on what makes ‘The Folly’ a unique P2P track. Amateur rider himself & owner with his wife Bea of the A.I.R.E Pelletstown Riding Centre, one of the longest-standing approved horse riding schools in Ireland, set on over 100 acres in Co Meath.

Interesting fact : Five of Tucker kids have won under rules, Ross, Norman, Barry, Jill & Holly.

Ward Union’s Point to Point is POSTPONED due to the ongoing wet weather.

(All fences & wings etc are onsite but heavy machinery wasn’t possible to travel land)

In all 3-mile races, the runners begin at the back of the third-last fence in the home straight, and race downhill over the first fence, before turning right handed. Before beginning the uphill climb away from the public enclosure, the field jump fence number two. Oldtown is one of the only point-to-point courses in the country to feature an open ditch which is jumped as fence three, after which the ground begins to rise.
